    Install Home Assistant Operating System

    Download the appropriate image

    KVM (.qcow2) <-----------this

After downloading, decompress the image. If the image comes in a ZIP file, for example, unzip it.

Changed the title of the thread from “KVM home-assitant” to “KVM OMV Web GUI | home-assistant KVM .qcow2”.
  • Not sure about a tutorial specific to this but I found it quite easy to get it working. You just need to decompress the qcow2 file to the kvm volume share. Then create a new vm using the qcow2 file as the volume.

I prefer to run home assistant as a docker container. Much lower system resource needed compared to a vm.

Post back if you get stuck.
