What is the error 500?

  • I install OMV7 a few days before Christmas with the help of someone here, I was unable to install docker and plex and just use it as it is.


    Because im a idiot, I trying to give it another try at installing Plex


    I try watching a few step by step video but in each one of them, that always something that doesnt work:

    I try that one, but the guy create a but of folder and at about 6:00 it enter PUID and go to the windows execute console to find it but that doesnt work on mine. and its way out past my abilities

    I then try this one in french ( my language) look a lot simpler, but after get into compose-»settings and select a the compose shared folder and the data shared folder, I click SAVE and then try to apply it into the yellow bar but I only get the 500 error with a bunch of text


    Any idea what i did wrong?

    You need to fix (or remove) your plex repo since it is setup incorrectly.

    How do I do that?

    I would remove the plex repo and run plex in docker. To do that ,revert the steps you did to create it. Nothing in OMV creates the plex repo. chatgpt is good to help with this.

    I didnt install Plex yet neither a Plex repo whatever its mean. I never use docker and don't really undertand how it work except that it some kind of virtual machine. is there a way to install plex without using any of that?
