omv-backup on RPi

    The plugin works just fine on any system. The guide is specific to restoring on x86 since it requires booting from a live distro (not really an option on an RPi).


    You should never backup to a non-native linux filesystem. exfat is not a native linux filesystem.


    For an RPi, I recommend taking the SD card out of it and putting it in the system that you wrote the sd card with. Then use usbimager to create a backup image of the sd card. If the SD card fails, write that backup image to a new card and you should be back in business.

    I had thought of that as well. It is just involved with quite some scheduled down-time
