So I got a copy of a vSwitch and wanted to mess with it but of course no documentation.
Off hand, does anyone know how I would apply VM's to use this virtual switch interfaces?

I have no knowledge of cisco's vswitch but VMware NSX basically just creates virtual networking infrastructure. There should be no difference between it and a physical switch. I wouldn't think you would need to change anything to "use" it. Probably not going to find anyone using it on this forum.
I know it is a weird question. I guess even on the VMWare NSX reference, I know not.
I mean I guess where I am having a brainfart is if I make a VM of a vSwitch and in that VM I have like 10 vInterfaces.... How does a vm NOT in that VM [I mean you cant make a vm in a vm at least not on a cisco switch] how do these UN-associated VM's use the vSwitch VM as network access!
Lemme ask this way
How would you set up a VM that is a switch with an interface that can be shared out to OMV VM’s as it’s LAN/Internet connection.
Would you dedicated a physical interface and it’ll automatically work for a new VM and I choose it as the nic? Do I bridge the interface that I’m dedicating to the Switch VM? How would you do it cause I can’t seem to grasp it. I get the whole Adding physical nics to a vm such as Opnsense and then can use the interface for my lan etc, but how does it work when the switch is a Cisco vswitch ISO ..
Ugh this already hurts my head .
I wouldn't run a virtual switch in a VM on the same host as the VMs that I want to use the virtual switch. Actually, I wouldn't run a virtual switch at all.
Haha I normally wouldn’t either but Cisco has a virtual switch and I wanna mess with it!!! Gah. Ok. I submit fuq it all to hell
