Seriously damaged the OMV Gui - says 403

  • Hi Folks,

it's me again - I was fiddling with wordpress - worked fine in the first place.

Then I discovered - instead of creating a VM or VH for Wordpress to run multiple instances - I could use the multisite functionality.

So far, so good, main site was fine, but all new sites were not available (404).

This is where I experimented too much and finally issued

wget -qO ee rt.cx/ee && sudo bash ee # install easy-engine
ee stack install # install nginx, php, mysql, postfix

I saw a couple of omv modules being removed

During the process I realized that php is now 5.6 mysql as well as well as many other things must have changed - I unluckily forgot to set a proper history in putty:

after that, my gui tells me 403 - forbidden and I believe I am pretty doomed reagrding the gui? Can someone confirm my view?

Is there a method to rebuild the gui at least to some basic level? Or do I have to pay the price for my dumbness?

    cheers
    Frank

I don't think it is worth fixing and would reinstall but...

    What is the output of:

    cat /etc/apt/sources.list
    cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*

Lots of plugins and wrong versions of main software make for a bad upgrade.

You could try purging php but it will want to remove a bunch of other packages. I would reinstall...

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.4 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

  • Ok, I purged the php stuff, nginx-common and all related.

Afterwards I was bale to run

Ubuntu // Hardware: HP Datavault, 2GB RAM, 4x2TB WD Green - LVM, 8GB For System
