Is bridged networking currently broken in openmediavault?

I've been fighting setting up a bridged network via the ui for the past couple of days. I've setup thousands of bridged interfaces over the years via command line. Now matter how I configure br0, I can't ping ANY ipv4 addresses. Not even the gateway. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced any problems like this recently. I thought it might have been my Aquantia 10G nic that's on my mobo, so I threw in an Intel X540-T2. Same exact problem. Not doing anything special. Just setting up a bridge with a static IPV4 and DHCP6 enabled.
