Photoprism no longer works after my update from the terminal.

  • Hello, today I updated OMV from the interface, version 7.7.7-1 (Sandworm). Then I indexed the photos I just added to photoprism and I wondered what version photoprims was and I don't remember the exact version but I saw something like 20220302. I did a duckduckgo search to see how to update it and I found this page

    I can update it by SSH connection with Putty.


    sudo podman pull docker.io/photoprism/photoprism/photoprism:latest

    sudo systemctl restart pod-photoprism.service


    I entered these two commands and they completed without errors. When Photoprism did not open, I turned off the computer with OMV and turned it on again. The result is that Photoprism is no longer running.

    When I check with sudo podman ps

    , Photoprism is installed. I turned off and on the Photoprism plugin from the OMV interface, still no improvement. Is it possible to go back to the old version or how can I run this version.

  • After much effort I found the following solution to my problem:

    I uninstalled Photoprism completely. I deleted the folders in the database directory. I reinstalled photoprism. The version is upgraded but I need to index the photos again.

    Version Build 250426-27ec7a128. After 5 hours of effort, the version has been upgraded but the database is gone.
