I have a 6TB drive using ntfs. I installed OMV just so I can copy the data off to a brand new hard drive. the new hard drive is already formatted and ready to use in OMV. I see in the documentation ntfs is supported and can mount.
The issue is the ntfs drive is not an option when hitting the triangle/play button. just the dvd / iso file which doesn't help. Can someone help? i really just need to get these files off, thanks!
Im running proxmox version 8.4 if that matters and running the latest stable OMV
NTFS drive passed through proxmox but not a mount option in OMV

Make sure you have configured the VM correctly and that OMV can see that hard drive.

If I understood correctly, the initial objective of your first post was to mount an NTFS-formatted hard drive in OMV. Did you achieve this?
I don't understand how what you say in your second post relates to what you're trying to do in the first.

oh my god! Im so sorry. i got confused and posted a different OMV problem. I been trying to fix too many things at once
I was not able to mount the NTFS drive. it is not an option when "checking storage > file systems > mount an existing file system" it's not there. but its show up in disk fine
and i'll make a new post for the other issue, sorry again for that -

Okay, don't worry.
but its show up in disk fine
Does that mean the hard drive appears in the Storage|Disks tab? Remember, I'm not in front of your system. Please try to be more specific in your statements.

I'd check your Proxmox configuration. I think this is a Proxmox issue, not an OMV issue.
