SMB extrem langsam

    Hallo,


    ich habe einen alten PC mit OMV aufgesetzt, genutz für Videos.
    Snapraid und MergeFS. Die Netzwerkschnittstelle ist Gigabit LAN onBoard.


    Angeschlossen ist alles per Powerline an eine Fritzbox.


    Ich möchte von meinem PC Dateien kopieren, bekomme aber nur eine Transferrate von 2 MB/s


    Über Powerline habe ich eine Geschwindigkeit von 60 MB/s.
    Das ist nicht toll, ich weiß aber es müßte doch mehr drin sein als nur 2MB.


    An was könnte das liegen?
    Was kann ich tun um alles schneller zu bekommen?

    P.S. Wenn ich auf den OMV kopiere, wird wie gesagt mit 2MB/s kopiert. Wärend ich das hier schreibe, kopiere ich Daten und konnte nicht einmal die zwei angehängten Bilder hoch laden.
    Erst nachdem ich den Kopiervorgang pausiert habe konnte ich die Anhänge hochladen.... 8|

    You need to read about difference between MB/s vs Mb/s

    You will not reach the theoretical 8 MB/s. For this, the adapters must be connected to the same phase, the cable length must be small and no distributor must be used. You can be satisfied with 3...4 MB/s in good conditions. With a Fritzbox 6660 and a Fritzrepeater 1200ax you can reach about 50 MB/s via Wifi via 5GHz through a room wall.

    Ich habe mit Powerline auch nur schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht.

    Aktuell nutze ich ich eine Fritz 7590 und einen Fritz-Repeater in einem anderen Raum dazu. Speed der Verbindung: rund 1000Mb/s

    Das WLan des Repeaters habe umbenannt, so dass sich keine WLan-Geräte dahin automatisch verbinden.

    Am Repeater hängen per LAN zwei Geräte.

    Insgesamt ist das eine gute, schnelle und sehr störungsfreie Lösung, die ich empfehlen kann - zumindest wenn LAN-Kabel keine Option ist.

    Hab mal testweise den OMV-Rechner mit an den Router gehägt.
    Übertragungsrate beim Schreiben ca. 9MB. Ist das nicht auch etwas wenig für Gigabit LAN?

    ja. Da bekomme ich beim Zugriff von meinem MacBook über Wlan auf omv (auf RPi) zwischen 60-70MB/s hin (SMB)

    Da stimmt wohl was nicht mit deiner Konfig. Mit Windows kenne ich mich aber nicht aus.

    Powerline stellt gewisse Grundbedingungen. Sind die alle eingehalten, wie keine Verwendung von Mehrfachsteckdosen.

    Welche Geschwindigkeitsklasse hat dein Powerline? 500 oder 1200?

    Damit das Powerlinesignal über die Phasen springt (und das tut es), müssen die Phasen über mehrere Meter nebeneinander, parallel verlegt sein, typisch wäre zum Beispiel ein dreifasiger Herdanschluss. Gibt es den bei dir?

    Nein, alles auf Gigabit gestellt.
    Der OMV-Rechner hängt jetzt direkt am Router, genau wie der PC. Ohne Powerline.


    Kann es am Linuxtreiber liegen?
    Das Mainboard ist ein AsRock Z97 Formular OC

    The motherboard has a Qualcomm® Atheros® KillerTM E2200 Series LAN chip. You'll hardly find a newer driver for it. The board is at least 12 years old and designed for Haswell CPUs (Socket 1150). I hope the network cables aren't just as old. After 12 years, it would be a good idea to clean the LAN port and treat it with contact cleaner. I would also do this with the other ports and connectors on the network. If that doesn't help, I would buy a new PCIe network card for 10 euros.
