Random shutdowns after the recent update

  • Hello everyone

i'm having a weird issue that i have never encountered before yesterday i updated my system and all of a sudden in the middle of the night i woke up and the system is off for no reason

first i started the system again and it immediately shuts down after it goes in OMV everytime

reverted back to Linux 6.12.43+deb12-amd64 and now it boots but i still don't know the issue or what is causing it so for now every HDD is off untill i know what is happening

the issue is so random can someone kindly tell me a command to identify the problem journalctl is not giving me the details that i want to know about the previous shut downs

    Help me please

    Thanks in advance

  • Even now with Linux 6.12.43+deb12-amd64 kernel

it boots but after sometime it give the shutdown command on its own when i was on my home PC the mini speaker in my OMV PC gave the sound it does when it is going to shutdown and just like that my OMV PC shuts down without doing anything i'm more confused than ever now

my system is connected to a UPS and i saw in the last updates that NUT got updated

is that a bug or something else that can give the system (the shutdown command on its own)

  • Here is some logs after the update on december the system is panicking about a connection issue and even if connected it complains about the battery being faulty BTW i just replaced my UPS and confirmed the UPS working as intended without NUT

seems like the new NUT update is panicking the system into shut down

i had to delete half the code since it was too long but the deleted part is the same error untill i disabled it and also removed the USB controlling it
