Like the title says the openmediavault-downloader plugin doesn't show as a available plugin on OMV8 despite being updated to this version.

I didn't port it to omv8. I really don't want to either. There are many better options that run in docker.
-
I don't run docker but use the plugin to download simple files directly to my NAS.
It's fine if you don't want to port it.
Thank you.

Why not docker? I used to use the plugin to download stuff as well. I just went back to using the command line.

Honestly, never tried 😅
I think is to complicated for me.

ryecoaaron finnaly i setup dokcer on a ssd following omv extras wiki. Tried aria2, jdownloader2, pyload and gopeed, is there any i can try?
I stayed with gopeed for now since I only want for direct links and don't want torrent suport.
-
I use wget from the command line.
-
Since all docker images of aria2 have bittorrent enabled, I made a clone from github and removed all features except direct links, combined with ariang for now it's working fine.

I install aria2 package on the command line and download linux torrents with aria2c. No service running and a lot like wget. This is what the downloader plugin did when you used aria2.

But like is fine also, right?
