Dupplicate entries on kernel plugin after release upgrade from 7 to 8.
Look at them closely. They aren't duplicates. You have memtest efi and bin entries for both x64 and ia32. I don't know why the memtest package is installing all of these. I am considering removing memtest as a dependency of the plugin and just add a button to install or remove memtest.

I just pushed kernel 8.0.2 and it has a menu to install or remove memtest86.

I am sorry to hijack the the thread, but what are the benefits of using OMV kernel? Years ago I had to resort to liquorix kernel due to NIC driver needs, but after that I developed habit using it. I would be glad for a lecture of why nots about using it, always glad to learn a thing or two. I just upgraded to 8, I was piggybacking since sandworm, deps and lingering configs started to look weird, as a bonus native PHP8.4 spared me off hassle, I like lychee as my photo host.

The plugin lets you install the Proxmox kernel that is the Ubuntu kernel with slight mods from proxmox. It includes the zfs module. I find it to be more stable than the debian backports kernel. Either way, getting a newer kernel for better hardware support is one of the goals. When I think of the liquorix kernel, I don't think of a NAS being the typical use case but if it is stable, use it. I would be curious to see what hardware wasn't supported by the proxmox 6.17 kernel but is supported by liquorix.
The plugin lets you manage the boot kernel and remove kernels.
The plugin also lets you download add finnix, systemrescue, gparted live, and clonezilla isos to the grub menu.
