The temperature of my NVME is displayed in the dashboard even though I have not installed the openmediavault-cputemp 8.0 plugin. Are there differences in the temperature display?

The plugin is not required to display data disk temperatures. The base system retrieves temperatures from smartmontools. You can view this in the OMV GUI under Storage > SMART.
