No idea how it came in my /etc/apt/sources.list.d so I commented it out

You must have put it there. Nothing OMV would add it.

  • adelolmo.github.io is wherehd-idle comes from (as well as other packages).

You should have an /etc/apt/sources.list.d/adelolmo.github.io.list file with the following contents:

    Code
    deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/adelolmo-archive-keyring.gpg] https://adelolmo.github.io/trixie trixie main

The repo is definitely available - you can click on the link above for more info.

    The repo is definitely available

For the repo to report that the Release file is not available, there is something wrong with it. Which is why I said it should be reported to the repo maintainer. Just because the main page is available does not mean the repo is configured correctly.

  • I understand what you're saying, of course. But I wasn't just relying on the website - I performed an apt update on my system just now and it read the adelolmo repository in without any issue.

Maybe the site was fixed in that time. I have no idea. Changing the sources.list file would not have made the Release file appear in the repo though.
