The reason I'm posting is that I've been through this forum and this webpage multiple times. I've been using openmediavault for over a year now. I'm not an IT-specialist, that is amazing. But everyone in my family seems to think I am because of people here. And since I'm not financially currently in the position to support you guys, I wanted to say thank you. Because it's the least I can do, but as soon as I am able I will donate whatever I can to developers of docker containers, openmediavault, app developers for openmediavault... because every time I've been stuck with a question or something didn't work, or something was weird. There was already a question similar to mine, and someone smart who answered it, pointing to the resource that fixes, or straight up fixing it, or pointing to an app, docker, or something else that perfectly solves my problem, consequently, making me look smart.
I don't have para-social relationships with YouTubers. I have para-social relationships with people on a webpage that answer my questions perfectly even though I didn't ask it. Currently, people are backing up photo's, documents, videos, email, work, everything on my OMV server. It's come in clutch when my sister's phone got stolen, and the server had perfect backups of every photo, file, and video, it's come in clutch when my dad's harddrive crashed, and I had a full backup of his system and he was up and running within 30 minutes. It's come in clutch when a colleague deleted all my brother's work files from Teams, and his IT department couldn't recover the files (or didn't want to)... but I could... because of you guys! You don't want to know how many times I've looked like a freaking hero because you've been there.
I've come from minecraft servers, and building stuff with PHP and MySQL, I did a small bit of java and have played around with Arduino and Raspberry Pi's. But dagnabbit do I feel like an idiot when scrolling through these forums. The amount of knowledge on here is staggering, so thank you!
