Hello everyone,
I set up my openmediavault with an initialuser (uid 1000), alice (uid 1001) and bob (1002) and switched on NFS.
My workhorse is a debian machine with two users, alice (uid 1000) and bob (1001). I configured fstab to auto-mount the folders exported by omv and it works a dream.
Now: from my debian machine, bob (uid on deb: 1001) has access to alice's (uid on omv: 1001) files.
Is it possible to map the user ids between systems so to speak? I've searched online and found no solution for exactly this issue - am I the only one? I am trying to avoid having to change all the user ids on one of those machines or having to re-install one of them...
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
