OMV 8 upgrade questions

    I have an OMV 7 server I would like to upgrade to 8. The omv-release-upgrade tool warns me to ensure that all my installed plugins are available in the new release. I have omv-extras installed and a few plugins from that but it looks like there is no omv-extras plugin for 8.x - is that right? Do I need to remove that first?


    I have some other plugins I don't see listed on the plugins page here https://www.openmediavault.org/?page_id=2014 - apt, apttool, compose, cputemp, cterm, diskstats, kernel, lvm2, md, sharerootfs. Are these all included in 8.x now?

    All but two of the omv-extras plugins were ported to omv8.x months ago and you aren't using either. Don't remove anything. Just upgrade

    That link is omv core plugins. omv-extras are not listed. But you don't need to spend any more time on this. omv-release-upgrade is your next step (if you have backed up your system).

    It is only advised to disconnect data drives when installing. So, you shouldn't disconnect for an upgrade.
