cterm plugin website only shows cursor.

  • Hi all,
I have OMV running for a while without any problems but after the update from last week I cannot use the cterm plugin website anymore for any container or host.

Now running on OMV 8.5.8-1 with Linux Kernel 7.1.8+deb13-amd64, Python 3.13.5 and cterm 8.0.2.

On the cterm website I can see al my docker containers and my host session. After selecting one of the sessions I get the terminal page. The cursor blinks top left but does not respond to any keys.

    journalctl show my login

and after the selecting the container/host session

I have also updated my VMware Workstation with the latest updates and get the same results.

I have disabled and reinstalled cterm, restarted the NAS, tried different browsers but without any good result.

Does anyone have an idee what I am doing wrong / need to update ?

    Thank you.

This was caused by a python3-flask update that came out yesterday. The cterm plugin has been updated and 8.0.3 is in the repo now.

  • Hi ryecoaaron,

Thank you for the quick response and the updated version. Now everything is working again.

The OMV Plugins page was showing "openmediavault-cterm 8.0.3" installed. Even after page refresh.

Still had to run apt upgrade.

The OMV Plugins page was showing "openmediavault-cterm 8.0.3" installed. Even after page refresh.

For updates like this where the plugin is already installed, you should only be looking at the Updates tab. Clicking Check and then install available updates would get you 8.0.3. The plugins tab is really just used for installing and determining whether the plugin is installed.
