I'm getting frequently updates like this. I assume this are developer (Beta) updates? Correct? If yes is this critical and can this somehow prevented?

I wouldn't call armbian-config updates critical but there is also no harm in installing them. You would have to run armbian-config to see what track you are subscribed to. You shouldn't be on beta by default though.

armbian-config updates very frequently for me as well (it doesn't bother me).
I think there was some announcement or post on the Armbian forums saying that this was by design and there is no "stable" branch to speak of, really.

I didn't see this one. I have been banning a bunch of these lately. All have name###name for a user name and very obvious AI repsonse. It is gone now.
