Error with KVM Plugin

  • so ive been fiddling around with running a few VM's of my server, installed the KVM plugn and played abit. Wanted to start afresh so i uninstalled the KVM plugin to restart.

Now when i load any of the pages in the KVM plugin i get this error message in red, nothing else seems affected.....

ErrorFailed to execute command 'export PATH=/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin; export LC_ALL=C.UTF-8; export LANGUAGE=; virsh list --all --name' with exit code '1':

    Thanks for any ideas/input

    Matt

  • nvm, i think it was a usb drive i removed that was setup as a passthrough device.

out of intrest, the monitor part of the plugin still show 2 vm's that i created and deleted. Any way to get rid of them as well?

    Thanks

Wanted to start afresh so i uninstalled the KVM plugin to restart.

The kvm plugin has very little settings. Uninstalling it doesn't change anything with the VMs.

Run that command from the command line.

    sudo virsh list --all

The VM delete doesn't do anything to the monitor's cache. The easiest thing to do is let them age out or click the "Clear monitor database" button on the Settings tab of the kvm plugin.

Typing the command comes up with this

    virsh: command not found

Ive done this, the vms still show, one called 'test' and one called 'Windows_11" one is shown as running and one is shown as shutoff.

I'm guessing the plugin didn't reinstall correctly. What is the output of:

    dpkg -l | grep -E "openme|libvirt"

We probably need to get the plugin working first.

    zsh: command not found: dpkg

Normally it isn't. I'm guessing your path is bad. What is the output of:

8.3.3 is in the repo with a Delete button on the Monitoring tab. The VM will also be deleted from the monitoring database when the VM is deleted from the VMs tab.
