Problem changing PUID for containers

Hi. I'm reviewing docker security measures and i'm trying to change PUID from my first user (1001 - that has a access to virtually every shared folder) to a more restricted user (1004) that has read/write access to appdata folder (through OMV shared folder permissions) and access to some data shared folders. When I try to switch PUID to 1004, my containers doesn't work (looking containers log I think that subfolders are read only), but if i reset PUID to 1001, everything works ok.

How can i replicate shared folder permission to already created subfolders? I'm not using ACL.

because folders & files on dockers are created first time docker is deploy, to change PUID, you need to stop container, change PUID, delete folders & Files so next time that you start container, docker can create it with apropiate PUID.

PD: not all containers support use of PUID or GUID

Thanks... I was afraid that would be the only way. I will have to rebuild the jellyfin database.

Yes! Immich doesn't require GUID/PUID, so it works without problems after the change. It saves me from losing its database.

You could just login via ssh and change the user and group id of the files.

Thanks ryecoaaron ! I searched the specific subfolders in appdata folder that are owned by 1001 PUID and using

I could reactivate my containers without recreating folders.
