Why is it not in the repo??? I tried... but one grows weary of the petulance.
I think it is working as well as it can til Jessie.

Ok I cannot found this plugin because at first time I use 64bit ISO with omv and omv-extras and this plugin was at image But actually I use 32bit with thin client and manually install omv-extras. But it`s not a problem for me
I have another problem, the loop for download //ffmpeg - how do it manually ? All night the loop working "Still waiting for folders to be created
Waiting for folders to be created."

From above it seems ffmpeg folder downloaded OK. It only takes forever if you are missing a dependency. What version did you install? Give results of:
dpkg -l | grep mediabrowser
I install a latest 1.0.9 from the first post.
root@om:~# dpkg -l | grep mediabrowser
ii openmediavault-mediabrowser 1.0.9 all Media Browser Server plugin for OpenMediaVault.
I purge packages (apt-get remove --purge) openmediavault-mediabrowser, libmono* and installed once again.
The postinstall script openmediavault-mediabrowser.postinst still check /ffmpeg/20140716 exist but downloaded /ffmpeg/20140923
When I copy catalog 20140923 to 20140716 installation finished.
I never use at this system this plugin so it`s fresh installation.
Installed perfectly as per instructions, and working fine.
Thanks to all who had a hand in this.
New version... 1.0.10
It should work fine with 32 bit machines now. I got rid of the infinite loop and now it gives you 2 minutes for the folders to be created. There is a counter which is in 2 second increments to max of 60. In the beginning was just trying to get it working but now fine tuning. This took some work. Hope someone appreciates it.
Thanks @ davidh2k for making the 32 bit virtual appliance for OMV 1. I probably wouldn't have taken the time to do this if his appliance was not available.
After some people have tested it I will move it to the top of the thread. It took about 56 seconds on the virtual 32 bit appliance to create the folders. The mono install is still ridiculous.
** you need to upload through the update manager in the web gui and then install in the plugin section. If you install via dpkg -i in command line you will have to do a "apt-get -f install" afterwards so the dependencies will install and then the package***
Get latest version at top of thread...
apt-get remove --purge openmediavault-mediabrowser
apt-get remove --purge libmono*
apt-get autoremove
apt-get clean
installed 1.0.10 via omv web gui
still have 20140923 folder for ffmpeg:
root@om:/var/lib/mediabrowser/ffmpeg# ls -la
razem 12
drwxr-xr-x 3 mediabrowser nogroup 4096 gru 8 13:40 .
drwxrwsr-x 3 root staff 4096 gru 8 13:44 ..
drwxr-xr-x 3 mediabrowser nogroup 4096 gru 8 13:41 20140923
but package install properly (41 loop ;).
init.d script working too.
Good Job.
This folder 20140923 is the correct folder for 32 bit. The folder 20140716 is the correct one for 64 bit.
41 on the loop would be 82 seconds.
Version 1.0.11...
Tweaks so that it will work if version of ffmpeg changes.

You could run it through nginx. But on the MediaBrowser website the developer says it is in the works. This was like in July so maybe it is close. So I would try to be patient a few more months.
wrong thread pls delete
A bit of history. I had a compiled from sources ffmpeg on my system (v1.9) prior to installing this plugin, to enable viewing previews in rutorrent. Upon installing this plugin I realised that I had 2 x conflicting ffmpeg’s on my system, so I removed the compiled from source version (make uninstall). I then had to supply a symlink from bin/ffmpeg --> /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg/20140716/ffmpeg to ensure everything worked.
Until this morning I had minidlna working on my system, however I removed the minidlna plugin and complied the latest from source – reason = so I could apply a patch that would enable coverart to be shown on my Samsung TV. This didn’t work, all video files would not show.
A quick google showed this to be a problem with ffmpeg.I then uninstalled the compiled version and tried to reinstall the minidlna plugin – however, I still have the same problem as I had with the compiled version. Cannot see the video files because of the ffmpeg issue.OK, I don’t use the mediabrowser plugin. So I removed both minidlna and mediabrowser plugins thinking that this would remove the ffmpeg from my system. It hasn’t, its still there.
So. My question is. How do I remove the ffmpeg that this plugin has put on my system at /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg/20140716/ffmpeg?? I want to remove all ffmpeg’s from my system and just install minidlna. . . .
Many thanks in advance.
rm -rfv /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg
apt-get purge ffmpeg
Hej tekkb,
first of all, thank you for such a great OpenSource NAS-Software!
I am not yet completely familiar with all of OMV and would like to install the MediaBrowser plugin. Therefore I also found this Thread about that. I did not start the Install of MediaBrowser yet because I can not find the mono repo as you have written under point two:
Zitat2) you need to enable the "mono" repo in OMV Extras
By now I have installed the mov-extras as described on omg-extras.org. But I can not find the mono repo which I have to enable under the omg-extras tab in the web guy. Should I just install the mono repo through ssh connection?
Best wishes and thanks for your help,
Florian
The version I worked is being overridden by a newer version. You need to ask Sergio.
Is there a smilar plugin for Jellyfin?

No. Docker is the way.
