How about: ls -al v4l/bu*
Problem installing DVB-C Card T9580
-
- OMV 1.0
- mastermischke

I would guess you need media_build_bst_121102.
This is why I picked a card with drivers built-in to the kernel
What card do you use ? I'm also thinking about to use VDR and lookng for an internal DVB-T2/C card or
an USB Stick. -

So - new day new try
I started all over again and reinstalled OMV to have a fresh start
So this is what i did step by step until the point i am right now
1. http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVBSky - closed source driver
2. No Problem / no error
3. No Problem / no error
2. No Problem
4. Download DVBSky Media build package - using media_build_bst_121102 (Download) for kernel 3.5.3/3.4.4/3.3.2/3.2.29
Until here everything works according to the tutorial.
but no this step should follow:But there is no .sh file anywhere
Codeaccording to http://www.dvbsky.net/Support_linux.html there is no driver for 3.2.0 ? 0o
hmmm ?
-
There is a driver for 3.2.29. I thought it might work. Not sure what else to have you try.
-
is there a way to manually update the kernel?
-
-
You can upgrade to 3.16 kernel but there isn't a driver for that kernel either. You may have to wait for OMV on Debian Jessie where it can use the 3.18 kernel that has the drive builtin.
-
ETA?
and how can i upgrade? i just want to give it a tryedit:
well it works with the backport kernel - awesome!
thank you very much! -
-
-
backported kernel worked
-
Backport or experimental?
-
I used the backported kernel - installed via omv extras
