After installing the update libcups2 1.5.3-5+deb7u6 I can no longer access the Web GUI....

You have to reinstall the OMV package

# apt-get --reinstall install openmediavault

the he same happens to me today on a test system, but not on my production system.
I really do not know what happens, the openmediavault package was marked as removed when doing

# dpkg -l | grew openmed

On my test system i have added additional package repos like Debian Jessie and have installed the backport kernel and linux-utils from Jessie.

Went to uninstall libcups2 and did not pay good attention, and it uninstalled OMV as well....

re-installed OMV (# apt-get --reinstall install openmediavault ) and looks to be working again so far.

Mike, supportinfo is part of OMV Extras now. You need to uninstall.

apt-get --purge remove openmediavault-supportinfo

Then do:
apt-get -f install

Then give a dpkg list again:
dpkg -l | grep openmediavault

Ok, the ones with rc have a problem.. (headphones, mysql, OMV Extras)

Let's try to fix OMV Extras first.

apt-get --purge remove openmediavault-omvextrasorg

Then:
apt-get install openmediavault-omvvextrasorg

Then check dpkg lists and see if it says ii now:
dpkg -l | grep openmediavault

I forgot it removes the repos. You may have to download it if it is not in your cache. It should be in your cache though.

We are making progress....

Let's purge the other 2 and reinstall. Not fun but... we do what we have to.

apt-get --purge remove openmediavault-headphones
apt-get --purge remove openmediavault-mysql

Then reinstall them in the plugins sections. Before you do make sure you activate your repos in OMV Extras.

BTW- I just did this upgrade, libcups2, on a RPi 2 and it went fine. I think Mike's problems were just due to the old support info from .5 OMV.

Mike, where you get that done check the dpkg list again:

dpkg -l | grep openmediavault

If all the packages have ii you are all good.

After purging and re-installing Headphones through plugins, I get:

The Icon in the GUI does not do anything as well...

In OMv Extras click on the apt-clean button. See if it works after that.

You did enable it again yes? Is the icon blank or just missing ?

Well move on to mysql. Headphones is something you will have to ask Miller @jhmiller about. I don't know anything about that plugin.
