Perhaps I have the same issue, no DNS inside docker containers.

My /etc/resolv.conf has 644 permissions. How can I solve this?

    Problematic server:

    root@mars:/# ls -la /etc/resolv.conf

    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 71 May 16 16:48 /etc/resolv.conf

    PCduino3nano working:

    root@pcduino3nano:/# ls -la /etc/resolv.conf

    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 32 May 8 17:58 /etc/resolv.conf -> /run/systemd/resolve/resolv.conf

making a symlink doesn't fix the issue

I have this problem with Docker containers on one of my servers running OMV 5 on Debian 10.

    Temporary failure resolving

About this setup. I have recently installed OMV 5 on two x86 and one ARM server. The problem appears just on one of server, while inside the host os dns seems to work fine, I can install and upgrade packages, in docker containers it simply does not work. I tried to followw several guides, nothing helped so far. Also restored the image and reinstalled docker several time. Also the servers have identical OS images just with a few configuration changes related to disks. I've tried this guide https://development.robinwinsl…ix-docker-networking-dns/ and this https://www.dedoimedo.com/comp…container-no-network.html On all servers I get this

    Code
root@mars:~# docker run busybox nslookup google.com
    Server: 192.168.1.1
    Address: 192.168.1.1:53

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: google.com
    Address: 172.217.20.174

    *** Can't find google.com: No answer

On two servers it works (arm and x86):

My router is running OpenWrt 19.07, I also reboot it amd delete the dhcp leases. Which resolved the problem that the installed could not auto configure networks. I also found and started a container with X and VNC. In browsers DNS works fines, but not in apt

    Hi guys,

Not sure what's wrong with my setup, but in any a scenario when I try to create a new shared folder I can't save the settings. Only undo works. Here's the report content1548854913.txt

    The ui outputs this error

and journalctl, this is marked red "sharedfolders.mount: What= setting is missing. Refusing."

Hi everyone, I'm running OMV 3.0.99 with lots of plugins. Some time ago I've checked that my server lags with syncthing instance so I've removed it. Recently I've upgraded my HW and gave it another try, but without any success, the syncthing instance web ui doesn't open, and eats all cpu. I can provide any logs or reinstall the plugin, just need it to work again. Check the screenshot,

Hi everyone, I have an OMV setup with no swap. The system is on a SSD driver with 4gb of ram and swapspace installed. When I use the Standby option from the UI nothing happens. I see this in dmesg

[24893.612738] [drm] ib test on ring 5 succeeded
[24893.671651] PM: thaw of devices complete after 684.496 msecs
    [24893.672037] PM: writing image.
[24893.672040] PM: Cannot find swap device, try swapon -a.
[24893.672091] PM: Cannot get swap writer
[24893.824454] PM: Basic memory bitmaps freed
    [24893.824461] Restarting tasks ... done.
    [24895.557395] r8169 0000:04:00.0 eth0: link up

it seems like it tries to write the memory contents to the swap partition(pm-suspend-hybrid or pm-hibernate?) which i don't have, I don't need it, the server is attached to an UPS. Anyway the pm-suspend from CLI works, but needs to be inputted manually. It's really a pain since I need to shutdown the server for the night time. I have a smaller quiet one 24/7.

    OMV is 3.0.99

No, it's not since Allwinner A20 SATA is slow SATA: https://forum.armbian.com/topi…findComment&comment=34192

And especially in OMV context NAS performance of A20 devices like pcDuino or Banana Pi is more or less at the same level as those USB2/UAS equipped boards since A20's Gigabit Ethernet implementation is also limited and you end up with similar performance numbers than more recent quad core ARM boards with USB2 only.

And all the many USB3-SATA NAS boards that are now spreading easily outperform any A20 board out there. If A20 today then only from Olimex since there you have full UPS functionality if you add a cheap LiPo battery and can power on/off USB ports individually (useful to switch on/off a backup disk connected to USB2 ports)

I agree, basically it's price per performance scale. I prefer SATA. UAS is something not very common I would say. The main cons of USB is that the device can fail or disconnect quite often (maybe it's mine bad usb-sata adaptors).

I've never had an issue with the flashmemory plugin causing this. Does removing the plugin fix your problem?

It was just an assumption, anyway I've scrapped the A10 board for several reasons and moved to PCDuino3Nano. The problem does not appear there, however it sometimes appears on my main OMV x86 server with the system installed to an SSD drive. not sure what causes the issue, but it appeared only once. I suppose it can be caused by OMV running from a slow storage drive like microSD.

Fresh install of ArmBian -> Update packages -> Install OMV

Board is an ARM Alwinner A10, installed on a microSD card. Reinstalled several times, this happens all the time. OMV 3.0.89
