    Hello !
I'm not an expert in networks and I'm pretty sure that someone will know the answer.
    Here it is my question...
    I've installed OMV 3.0.63 on a RPI3.
I've installed OpenVPN through Pivpn installation script (too much problems with the plugins OpenVpn in OMV)
I've started OpenVpn on my laptop and it's fine.
At home, where my RPI3 is located, I've got a printer, connected to my local network by wifi.
I'd like to print something on it from outside, through the VPN.
Can someone tells me how to do it ?
Many thanks in advance for the answers...

Thanks for the info Davidh2k, the installation was done without errors....
After that, I've filled the OpenVpn parameters in the OMV web configuration page / Services section :

    General parameters :
    - Activate : on
    - Port : 11948
    - Protocole : UDP
    - Use compression : on
    - PAM : on
    - Options : blank
    - Logging level : Normal usage output

    VPN network :
    Address : 10.8.0.0
    Mask : 255.255.255.0
    Gateway interface : eth0
    Default gateway : on
    Client to client : on

    DHCP options :
    DNS server(s) : 192.168.50.1 <-- my router ip
    DNS search : google.ca
    WINS server)s) : blank

    Public :
    Public address : <my IP>

Then, I've created a certificate with a user I've created in OMV and I've downloaded it.

I've started the software OpenVPN on my laptop (windows 7 64 bits).
I've imported the ovpn file downloaded in the previous step.
I tried to connect to OMV vpn and this is the log :

Do you have an idea why I've got the error 'TLS Error: TLS key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds (check your network connectivity)' ?

    Many thanks.

    Hello !
I've got many erros when I try to install the plugins OpenMediavault-Openvpn 3.0.6 on my RPI3.
Find below what I've done :
    - write in a SD card the image OpenMediaVault v3.0.63
    - do an apt-get update
    - do an apt-get upgrade
    - Access to the web page configuration of OMV (192.168.XXX.XXX)
    - Activate the repo Plexmediaserver (because I've red in this forum that we need it for OMV-Openvpn)
    - Install the plugins Oenmediavault-Openvpn 3.0.6
    And then, I got ERRORS.
Find below a copy of the installation log.

When I close the log window and when I refresh the web page configuration of OMV, I cannot find the OpenVpn configuration on any section...

    Someone can help me ?
    What should I do to
    Many thanks for the answers....

    Hi everybody !
    I've got a RPI3 with Openmediavault 3.0.59 (Erasmus).
I've connected on it two external disks : a Western Digital (1 TB) and a Seagate (2 TB).
On the http page of Openmediavault, I can see these two disks on Storage/System files but when the page is refreshed, one of the two disks dissapear... In another refresh, I can see it again and in the next refresh it dissapear again.
    I don't understand why ??????
Please note that these two disks are directly connected to the RPI3 without external power supplier.
Can you help me please ?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Patrick.

    *** UPDATE ***
    May be I have a clue :
When I mount the two disks and share their folders, it's ok. I can see them on any Laptop...
As soon as I map the folders on my others RPI3 (I've got two other RPI3) through Kodi, the disks are unmounted and cannot be mounted again. I don't know if there is a relation between these events...
    I really don't understand...

    Hi everybody !
    I've got a small problem...
I've installed Openmediavault on my RPI. It works perfectly.
I wanted to make a backup copy of the SD-card just in case it crashes...
    The SD-card is a Samsung 16GB.
I followed the following procedure :
    - take out the sd-card from my RPI3
    - put it on my sd-card reader from my laptop
    - open Win32DiskImager
    - make a read in order to create an image file on my laptop
    - remove the sd-card from my sd-card reader
    - put an empty one (also Samsung 16 GB)
    - open Win32DiskImager
    - make a write on my sd-card
    I had the message :
Not enough space on disk : Size 31257600 sectors Available:31256576 sectors
    Sector size: 512

I also tried SDFormatter and it doesn't work (Disk unknown)
    Any idea ?
Thanks in advance for the answers...

I've got an error message at the secondstep...

    Welcome to folder2ram version 0.2.4 !
folder2ram is a script-based utility that relocates the contents of a folder to RAM
and on shutdown unmounts it safely synching the data back to the permanent storage.

There are four main components of folder2ram system:
--the init script in /etc/init.d or the systemd service in /etc/folder2ram that calls this main script on boot and shutdown
    --the main script in /etc/sbin/folder2ram
    --the configuration file in /etc/folder2ram/folder2ram.conf
--the folders in /var/folder2ram, the bind-mounted folders
they allow easy access to the original folder in permanent storage
since if you mount folder A on folder B you lose access to folder B
this trick allows access to B, allowing synching with the tmpfs at will

for first startup use -configure action, edit the mount points as you wish, then -mountall

list of actions (only one at a time):

    -enableinit
::::::::::sets up an appropriate autostart/stop init script, does not start it

    -enablesystemd
::::::::::sets up an appropriate autostart/stop systemd service, does not start it

    -disableinit
::::::::::removes the autostart/stop init script and unmounts all mount points

    -disablesystemd
::::::::::removes the autostart/stop systemd service and unmounts all mount points

    -safe-disableinit
::::::::::removes the autostart/stop init script but unmounts only at shutdown (hence safely)
::::::::::it also works if folder2ram is unistalled shortly afterwards

    -safe-disablesystemd
::::::::::removes the autostart/stop systemd service but unmounts only at shutdown (hence safely)
::::::::::it also works if folder2ram is unistalled shortly afterwards

    -status
::::::::::print all mountpoints and their status (mounted or unmounted)

    -syncall
::::::::::sync to disk the content of folder2ram's tmpfs folders

    -mountall
::::::::::folder2ram will mount all folders in the config file

    -umountall
::::::::::folder2ram will unmount all folders in the config file

    -configure
::::::::::folder2ram will open the configuration file in a text editor

    -reset
    ::::::::::restore default config file

    -clean
::::::::::unmounts all folders then removes any autostart

Your current problem is you need to set your dns server in network settings.

    ?
My current dns configuration is :
    IPv4
    Method : Static
    Address : 192.168.1.108
<-- local network address of my RPi3
    Mask : 255.255.255.0
    192.168.1.1

    IPv6
    Not active

    Advance parameters:

    Domain : ....ddns.net
    <-- set by noip.com
    MTU : 1500

When I try to update the plugins, I've got the following error message :

    Hello !
Here it is my configuration : Raspberry PI3 , OMV 3.0.13
My goal is to access to my external HD (connected on my RPi3) from outside through a VPN access.
I can't install openVPN on my RP3i. I can't even see it on the repo.
When I try to install the plugins openmediavault-openvpn 3.0.1, I've got the following error message :

    Reading package lists...
    >>> *************** Error ***************
Failed to execute command 'export LANG=C; export DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive; apt-get --yes --force-yes --fix-missing --allow-unauthenticated --reinstall install openmediavault-openvpn 2>&1': Reading package lists...

E: Unable to locate package openmediavault-openvpn
    <<< *************************************

It seems that it can't find the package.

What is the solution for my configuration ?

What I saw in the forums doesn't work...

Thanks in advance for the answers.
