me too. Any solution?
ok. my point is, I miss the old Raspbian images and its little bit strange to switch to the Arabian image, which is build from someone who bash permanent the raspberry pi
@tkaiser are u the the creator of the rpi image?
THX! Works with Boxcar too
#!/bin/bash
curl -d "user_credentials=YOUR-BOXCAR-TOKEN" \
-d "notification[title]=NAS: ${OMV_NOTIFICATION_SUBJECT}" \
-d "notification[long_message]=${OMV_NOTIFICATION_DATE}<br><br> $(cat ${OMV_NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE_FILE})" \
-d "notification[source_name]=OMV" \

It would be great if the Fail2Ban Plugin could use the System Notifications and not his own Mail Notifications
Hi! First, i love my Pi
I use the old raspbian OMV Image on a RPi3 and use it for a lot of stuff with a attached 1TB WD portable without a hub for:
- TimeMachine Backups. Yes its slow but I don't care. its done when its done
- PiMatic with 16 Plugins as home automation hub
- PiHole (network ad blocker)
- Plex. Dont need transcoding cause I use a odroid c2 with openpht.
Btw. the Pi can transcode DTS streams really good. good for local streams, cause the iOS App doesn't support DTS but direct stream of any AVC-stream and if you setup the encoder to ultrafast, you can transcode whole 1080p files to 480p. for vacation ie its fine
- Jdownloader
- Flexget
- MotionEyeOS with one old Android cam
- Seafile Server. Just for fun. Maybe with Pi4 and Gigabit someday for serious usage
Occasionally I kill the pi when Jdownloader extract files and I have a lot of motion on the cam, but in daily use, the downloader runs at night and then motion is turned off then. so its not a big issue.
1. do i have any advantage / disadvantage switch to your Arabian image when it comes to performance?
2. can I upgrade my old OMV3 raspian installation to OMV4 someday?
btw. here is my server room
i forgot one job. there are various audio stream recorder jobs with curl and some for video with ffmpeg.
and with a python script I crate a podcast feed for this files.

I think the majority of users having problems are using an RPi and/or have problems with plugins not really OMV core. I am also happy with OMV3 and don't need anything newer.
Nope. My RPi2 runs perfect since 3.0.3x++
it runs 24/7 with PMS, netatalk, ssh, Jdownloader, Pimatic, motioneeye and pi-hole. idle: 15-50% cpu, 30-60% mem
..I will try to update it soon..
Sounds great! Will switch from RPi2
mehh.. im satisfied with my solution
but thx
Hi! I have a Pi2 and switched with my external drive from ext4 to btrfs where the PMS Database is stored.
After a reboot OMV / PMS can't find the PMS Database and create a new one on the SD Card.
Im not so familiar with the Linux stuff. Where is the cron file of PMS which is responsible for the PMS start after the reboot.
My quick and dirty solution is to disable the Plexmediaserver inside the GUI and create a schedule job:
Maybe the order of events after reboot is wrong.
1. start PMS
2. mount drive
BUT I reinstall PMS after setup the hard drive
ideas?
thanks for clarifying! now i am angry with me
Pleas tell me the right url scheme?

this is just a extract
I have try everything an more. Get every time a error
have lost so many hours of my lifetime because of omv. please make better descriptions for guys like me
you've got me. i will give it a try. thx
ok thank you!
i know there are embedded versions of both for the Odroid C2. OMV and OpenPHT.
if there is no openPHT deb for odroid, i need to install the embedded image of openPHT on my SD card and then OMV manual through the command line. correct?
is there a deb package for aarch64 of OMV? couldn't find one https://sourceforge.net/projec…ault/files/?source=navbar
sry. novice
No one? Think the question is not hard to answer for someone who lives with linux systems.
I'm new to linux and and the command line. i would say its possible, but i don't want to order a odroid and it doesnt work.
Hi everyone!
Is it possible to install OpenPHT (openpht_1.6.2.123-e23a7eef-jessie_amd64.deb) parallel to OMV 3.0.13.
Im considering to buy a ODRID C2 and to run PMS + PHT on the same device.
TIA
im to lazy to start from the beginning. it was a pain to setup the wifi dongle. YES WIFI! cause i get up to 15 uplink instead of 4-7 via ethernet cable.
its ok for me to stay on this state. im using OMV right now just for TimeMachine backups ad blocking (pi hole) in my network.
later when omv is stable i will install plex server and something like own cloud. I've read own cloud is not supported in 3.x
OK. but AFP will come anytime?
btw. i have a backup of my sd card with a working OMV 3.0.13 and netatalk <V3.
the update of the whole system including natatalk via command line is successful but i can't access the gui. AFP works furthermore
tried it on every release 3.0.16, 3.0.20, 30.0.22
