Thank you I appreciate it. Sorry I didn't mean to sound negative. I'll check it out, I just haven't used docker anything yet so I'm not familiar with it.

I already have my separate proxmox. I don't use dockers and still haven't tried them. Since it's a small pc I can leave it on all the time and keep the nas off.
-
I uninstalled photoprism and installed syncthing in a vm in proxmox as you can see in the picture. Just make sure you make a large enough vm so you don't keep getting the message I'm getting since I made mine small. I had no idea how much I would need but this is a vm problem not the syncthing program. To insall synthing just use the terminal and the last part of the syncthing instructions where it says finally, you don't have to do all that other stuff at the top. It will install fine and then you'll need to manually start it as you see in the picture. Then just get the android app in my case and set that up. It took me a bit since I had never used it, but it was the fastest one I could install without too much hassle. Then I will just copy or move them to the nas. Since this is a different computer I can still keep the nas off. I don't use anything else so I'll just keep manually organizing my pictures.

Well, I have been reading a bit more on this and it looks like the delete feature is not available. It's there but it's basically disabled in case anyone else is trying to use photoprism as well. I installed syncthing from the shell as well but since it's not part of omv you'll need to install it on a vm or it's own os. I don't want to keep messing with this because I don't want to break the nas itself.

I have actually been playing with photoprism to see if I can better organize my photos. Unfortunately I ran into a hicup. I can't delete anything on it. I guess the earlier versions showed the hidden option where you could chose to delete files. I can't for the life of me find any way to delete any. I seem to have many thumbnails with tiny pictures that I rather delete. The other thing I was trying to do is figure out how to sync or move the files from my phone to the nas, without having to manually do them myself. Can I install syncthing through ssh and use it this way or is that not the best way to go about it. Here's what I'm looking at now. I'm just trying to figure a simple way to go about managing and organizing the pictures since I do have a lot. I forgot to mention that the delete options is already on but this doesn't work.

Thanks for the help. I finally re-installed everything and it's working fine now.
-
You're absolutely right. I think a fresh install will be better.
-
I have partly fixed this. I needed to add the dns server. I still have broken packages so I'm trying to update/upgrade it.
-
this is what I got with omv-upgrade

You are correct. I did not have the nas connected to the internet because it's across the workstation I use so I needed to use the monitor here. I'll try that upgrad now.
-
Is this correct?

Thanks but those are different from the ones it normally includes. There's no antivirus and the other one to manage the raid for example. I always had the raid 5 on my first 4 drives. I just thought that was weird since those plugins are usually included by default.
-
Okay, I was able to mount the raid without any of the plugins. So you should be able to get this back up after you have it configured. I thought I needed the plugin but I didn't. Still no plugins showing so I'm not sure if that's how this version is supposed to be.
-
I just installed the latest iso of omv and It doesn't show any plugins. Yes I hit the search buttons. I need the plugin to get my raid back up but nothing is showing up.
-
Thanks guys. No I haven't forgotten any of my passwords. I just haven't been using the system much so I tend to forgot some of this stuff. System has just been acting up since it couldn't get any more updates on it. In any case, I decided to change the hard drive since I was using an extra adapter on an old ide drive and installed a slightly bigger drive that no longer uses that sata to ide adapter. I went ahead and installed the new omv 4 and although it took a little while I think I'm back up. One note when updating from one version to the next, I mean new install not updating. Make sure to either write down all your shares or get a screenshot because you will need that to get those shares going again. I couldn't remember a couple of them but found my screenshot so they're all back again. Phew. I just need to configure everything else back.
-
Yeah, but I need my stuff back not a default.
-
I went ahead an booted my omv and this is what I see now. It's not showing anything like it's brand new. I haven't done any changes and I usually keep this turned off.

That's the same thing I was getting with my usb drives and usb flash drives. Same error with 4.1.3 ISO. I thought about just installing 3.x over one of the other drives, but since mine is working I didn't bother to do that. So it does seem to be an issue with the iso or debian installer which is the same one I used. Then again I had iso installed problems with ubuntu in the past which are very similar to what this version is doing.

If I remember correctly you must clean your drive first, make the share as usual and do the rights to whatever user. I'm just going from the top of my head here, but once all that is done, then you should see it. I'm not sure if you've done all the first steps, but wiping or cleaning a new drive is necessary before the drive can be used.
