I use OMV5 on a VM under Proxmox PVE 7.2-11. Now I want to migrate to OMV6.

I tried to install the OMV6.0.24-iso in a VM under PVE7.

During the installation process shortly after the DHCPv6-network-config the installation hangs.

I changed a lot of options on the host for the VM, nothing helped.

I successfully installed OMV6 on an older i7 under PVE7 three weeks ago.

    Any hints ?

    Thanx, Peter

Reloading the "Storage" web page once worked here. Clearing the cache once is even sufficent for opening other gui-pages meanwhile and then coming back to "Storage" without any further reloads needed. I did not install any plugins yet. (Clearing the browser-cache did not help.)

    Thanx votdev.

i freshly installed OMV6.0.3-1 (Shaitan) as a PVE7.0-14-VM. Now when I click on the "Storage" Button in the admin-web-gui, it reloads the webpage and does not show the sub-titles beneath "Storage". Webbrowser Firefox 94.0 on Linux Mint 20.2 cinnamon. The description below is my current system, not the one where I am testing on for now.

I had problems adding a HDD as well. Then I formated the HDD on a Desktop-Linux-PC, replaced it into my omc-server, wiped it (Disks / Wipe), created a file system (File Systems / Create), mounted it (File Systems / Mount), now is workes well.

Here is some feedback on my upgrade from omv 3 to omv 4.
    omv3 was running on a Fujitsu D3417-B / Xeon with a HD-Systemdisk and SoftRaid5 3x HD WD Red 8TB.
I installed omv4 on a D3410-B2 / Celeron / SSD-Systemdisk M2 4xPCIe NVMe almost without any quirks. Biggest "issue": no ip-adress after reboot from install -> cmd 'ip a s' showed there was an IP-adress thow it was not announced on the log-in-screen). Everything I could solve by searching the Forum. NVMe was not possible with omv3. Great success of omv4! Then I plugged the three SoftRaid5 HDs and could integrate them without any hussle !!! Great success of omv4!

Thanx for the gread job done with omv 4 !!!

    Peter

    I appreciate Your patience.

On my second OMV3 at home I do have the same trouble.
There should be some issue I did on both machines ???

    Hi,

I can log in to the ftp-server, but when I put <file> I get "Keine Berechtigung" "No authorization".

    I gave Read/Write-Privileges to the ftp-user for the shared-folder for the ftp-server.

    Did I forget anything important?
