    I was watching this video

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzMSuRyfMS0&t=758s

followed all the steps(setup portainer, deployed plex, setup my media folders)

then when i went to log into the server (https://192.x.x.x:32400/web)

I see a (!) next to my server name. I click on it.
Then go to claim the server.

I log in with my plex pass userid and pwd.

then I get a error that says" plex claim server there was a problem signing in "

I am not sure if this is a network issue or what but I am stuck right now.

    Hello All,

So I have a issue with my virtualbox. I only have one VM and every 10 days it acts up. I can log in via VNC but the entire VM is locked up. I then try to go into the virtualbox web (phpvirtualbox)on my OMV. Then that has a error that it can not be reached.

From there i go to the OMV > virtualbox > virtual machines (tab). Go to my VM and reset it there.

It will reset just fine and work for about 5 more days then nothing works.

What I am wondering is what services can i restart via command line to fix this. I went to '/etc/init.d' i only saw one service linked to virtualbox but when i restart it nothing happens.

Can anyone help me with this?

Everytime I create shared folder I get following error.

    Code
Failed to execute command 'export PATH=/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin; export LANG=C; systemctl restart 'sharedfolders-sharedvm.mount' 2>&1' with exit code '1': Job for sharedfolders-sharedvm.mount failed. See "systemctl status sharedfolders-sharedvm.mount" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

    I don't understand what I do wrong?

I can not install headers. this is what i get.

    $ apt-get upgrade
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
    Calculating upgrade... Done
The following packages have been kept back:
    linux-image-amd64

what can i do to fix this?

sorry for reply but hit character limit

When i try to reinstall i get this error

i need help i have reinstalled OS many time still can not get this to work

    Hey again guys.

I get the following error everytime i open on OMV 4.x gui "OMV\Config\DatabaseException: Failed to execute XPath query '/config/services/virtualbox"

I click on show details and i get the following

    FIXED. Here is the steps.

    1) Install OMV 4.x
    2) Boot into OMV and do the following
    apt-get install -t stretch-backports linux-{image,headers}-amd64

    3) thenapt-get update && apt-get upgrade

    4) do the normal steps to install virtualbox

    and it works now......

####these steps load 4.17.0 all tutorials i see where this plugin works they are on 4.16. Even though the machine will boot now. I can not turn the machine off. and after every reboot the virtualbox gives errors and detaches from the vm's i created.####

welp. Did the install for the 18th time, and exported the install logs. found this gem burred in the logs

"WARNING: The character device /dev/vboxdrv does not exist.
Please install the virtualbox-dkms package and the appropriate
    headers, most likely linux-headers-amd64.

You will not be able to start VMs until this problem is fixed."

    i then did the following

    Code
    root@linuxmediapc:~# sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package linux-headers-4.13.0-0.bpo.1-amd64
E: Couldn't find any package by glob 'linux-headers-4.13.0-0.bpo.1-amd64'
E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'linux-headers-4.13.0-0.bpo.1-amd64'
    root@linuxmediapc:~#

so I can not update the headers. I do think I am stuck.

I am getting errors as well. I am not sure if this is because I am running 4.x of OMV or not. But I plan on downgrading to 3.x OR installing via the command line.

If either way works I will let you know.

    Hello all,

I am very new to this plugin but i installed it via OVM-Extras.

I then tried to make a VM just to test it out.

But as soon as I start the vm I get a error

    can anyone help?

    So this is what happened.

Last night I was watching shows on the OMV server via Plex app. I started to get errors that the media can not play. No biggie some times I need to do a update because I am a couple of revisions behind.

Did a apt-get update and the command hung. So i figured maybe the cache is full, this box hasn't been rebooted in months so that is possible. I rebooted the box and go the following screen.

I am going to take that my sda1 drive which is where OMV is installed has gone bad or is going bad.

My hard drives are in a usb NAS storage that plugs into the box. My question is this.

If i reinstall OMV to a different drive will I be able to just plug the USB back into the box and all of my files are safe?

so i have tried a little bit of everything.

So on the OMV server I sshed over to my ubuntu box. I also from my ubuntu box sshed over to the OMV server.

When i run the rsync from the OMV gui i get the following.

    Please wait, syncing <harold@192.168.211.45:/home/harold/test> to </srv/dev-disk-by-id-md-name-openmediavault-USB4bay/idrive> ...

I am logged in as Admin on the OMV GUI and the ubuntu box the SSH account for file manager is Harold.

I am all out of ideas if you guys could point me in the right direction it would really help.
