    Still running strong 3.0.99. 16TB Raid5 grown from 6 last month. Total uptime 18mo. Not too bad for a "toy". OMV makes a quality products!

    Looking forward to make a jump to OMV4.x

    Thanks Gents

    This is what my /etc/cron.d/mdadm had in it.
    I changed this to run twice a year. Monthly was way too much for me.
    Does anyone see issues with this?

    Thank you in advance.

    # By default, run at 00:57 on every Sunday, but do nothing unless the day of
    # the month is less than or equal to 7. Thus, only run on the first Sunday of
    # each month. crontab(5) sucks, unfortunately, in this regard; therefore this
    # hack (see #380425).
    #57 0 * * 0 root if [ -x /usr/share/mdadm/checkarray ] && [ $(date +\%d) -le 7 ]; then /usr/share/mdadm/checkarray --cron --all --idle --quiet; fi

    #changed to do this 2x year
    * * * 1,7 * root /usr/share/mdadm/checkarray --cron --all --idle --quiet; fi

    Since when has this been an auto job? this is the first time it has ran for me since I have set up my raid5 more than 6 months ago. It does not show up on any job schedule on the GUI I have this running on an RPI3 and checking this uses about 72 hours of cpu load resources once a month now? I would at most want to run this quarterly or even bi annually at most. anyone please advise on how to change this.

    I hope you aren't just randomly placing files you downloaded from somewhere.

    it was from:

    or something like it for RasPI. The error never manifested because I never rebooted. this would of happened regardless of update.

    I want to thank you again for jogging my memory. and the help you gave. I learnt my lesson for sure. I rely on this PI for a home file server.

    I do recall trying to install a cpu temperature panel. I dont recall what the code was. Ill see if I can find it.

    Incognito availed the same result

    found this in:
    root@notzraid5:/var/www/openmediavault/js/omv/module/admin# nano sensors.js

    var initialConfig = {
    title: "CPU temperature",
    rrdGraphName: "sensors"
    Ext.apply(initialConfig, config);
    this, initialConfig);
    Ext.extend(OMV.Module.Diagnostics.SysInfo.Temperature, OMV.RrdGraphPanel, {
    OMV.preg("sysinfo", "system", OMV.Module.Diagnostics.SysInfo.Temperature);

    Good morning OMV!

    The down and dirty
