I migrated to OMV5 and I reassemble all my containers quietly. Everything is going wonderfully :)
Time to get used to Portainer.
all my databases leave as if nothing had happened because i had my appdata on a ssd apart from the disk system.

I want to thank the members who participated in this thread. No mockery, time for others, it's really nice to see such a community!

and finally thank you KM0201 for this last piece of advice which I will put into practice to avoid stupidity.

Glad to have my Bookstack back to life with everything I learn !

    I will reinstall.
I still learned this is the main thing!
    time to go to OMV5.

    I try to do some command with / srv / 2aa37cae-ce75-43a3-8fb2-1024a4f2ea7c /bin/xxx

I managed to do a few things but hey I prefer to start on a good basis and therefore I will reinstall.

again it is the user the problem in the chain with OMV :)

    my biggest mistake!

I made the biggest stupidity ever seen I think!
I wanted to move files and I got the wrong directory.
So I moved all the system files of my omv ....
with this command not to reproduce

    root @ NAS2018: / srv / dev-disk-by-label-DOWNLOAD / temporary # mv / * / srv / 2aa37cae-ce75-43a3-8fb2-1024a4f2ea7c / MOVIES /

I have the prompt but no command because /bin and all system files move.
My OMV no longer responds, I broke everything ....

what my best options for finding a functional OMV?

hey thanks for this information !
in recent times when I had a little time I had fun playing with a switch layer 3, vlan, acl etc and I have less OMV track on the forum ... I had not seen the info! I had a lot of trouble to create this sharefolder indeed, I will do the necessary to go through /srv

Macom your help is really appreciate, thank you!

    Thanks for your advice Macom

    All work !

copy source folder of nextcloud to destination with this command :

    Code
    cp -rRp /sharedfolders/Nextcloud_original/. /sharedfolders/nextcloud_destination/

the R allows to copy the file which starts with a point.

create a new share folder for destination
    use cp -rRp /sharedfolders/Nextcloud_original/. /sharedfolders/nextcloud_destination/
Copy my docker container in the gui
check port forwarding because the gui don't copy
    change the host path
    start the container

    all work :)

    Hello all
I removed disks without unmount the file system.
    a beginner's error....
the OMV config.xml to keep track of these disks in the hdparm and smart selection.
I edited the config.xml file but it is restored.

So how to edit the config.xml without it being restored?
    Thank you !

Your repos must be missing something. What is the output of the apt clean button in omv-extras?

    I can't install Ur Backup :(

Ur backup is 3.1 in extra plugin

What is the best approach to backup Docker and appdata for a user who use mergerfs + snapraid ?

Docker image are on OS disk
Appdata folder ( docker container config files ) is on another ssd

My openmediavault disk is backup with "backups" plugin with fsarchiver.

I do'nt know how to do with the Appdata folder. I put this folder on ssd out of the mergersfs/ snapraid disks beacause I don't want spread little files on it.

Are tthere a way to backup Appdata on one big file I can spread on my mergerfs/snapraid disk ?

    Hi all

I use gmail for send email alert from openmediavault.

I receive mail but not the alert mail login.

I see an error message in my gmail account :

    Code
DNS Error: 5311341 DNS type 'mx' lookup of nas2018.localdomain responded with code NXDOMAIN Domain name not found: nas2018.localdomain

    this is my /etc/postfix/recipient_canonical

    Code
    root xxxxxxx@gmail.com
    dockersteve xxxxxxx@gmail.com
    @openmediavault.localdomain xxxxxxx@gmail.com

I had to touch a few things but I do not remember.

Once again it's not Openmediavault's fault
I had to touch a few things but I do not remember...

If you have an idea

    Hello All

I have two M1015 flashed in it mode with some hdd link on it.
I find some error in dmesg but all my smart long test are good.
it looks like the disk is not waking up fast enough.
I see no signs of malfunction other than these messages

    If you can help :)

    Hi all

My server run well for 2 weeks now.
    MergerFS + snapraid
    All smart is ok
Long smart test is good for all drive.
In my system I have two HBA IBM 1015 flashed in IT mod that give LSI card.

    Please read the log below

I see lot's post with this problem and all say bad disk or bad cable.
I see this error since I put spindown on my disk.
If I remove spindown I have no Error message.
Because I have some disk I like to spindown.

I have the impression that Hdds do not wake up fast enough for the kernel.
I see a post from zfs user whohave a similar problem here https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs/issues/4713 but don't find solution !

    hello all snapraid users !

I see in the diff script 100% of the array is scrub after 7 synch.

I run diff script one a day.

if I add files every day. My system will run scrub once a week and so 100% of the array will be processed each week.
That seems like a lot to me?
Do you have any advice ?
