could you explain what the single parts of this command mean?

Because, the NAS is off now. and i cant wait until next friday. How doi i start it again? I could start it by hand of course

I startet the NAS by hand and wrote a new sheduled job. Hopefully it works now

so far so good, the shut down worked. Let´s see if the start procedure works as well

i did it just now. I wrote rtcwake -m off -t $(date -d "next thr 16:15" +%s)

I sheduled the job for thursday, 16:12 uhr

it didnt worked. the system did not shut down.

ok, i will try it and let you know. Tomorrow of course, now it´s bed time.

I´m curios, is there a way to configure my NAS in the way that it start (switch on) omn friday at 7pm and switch off at sunday at 10pm. I dont need it the other days.

There are two persons with phones and laptops having acces to the NAS. And a older Samsung TV wich uses the MiniDLNA service for movies.

The NAS is with 2 SSD´s by 120GB each and 2 HDD´s by 5TB and 8TB.

The reason is to save power. Hardware is a Asrock J5040-ITX and a be quiet! System Power 7 PSU 300 Watt

Any ideas or help are apreciatet.

Hilft das Nicht?? Das Netzteil ist mit dem Mainboard per 24PIN ATX Power Connector (ATXPWR1) verbunden.

ich verstehe die aussage ehrlich gesagt nicht. das Netzteil läuft und liefert strom, ztu erkennen an den sich drehenden lüftern und an der blauen Kontroll led ausen am gehäuse die angeht wnn ich den startknopf drücke. die CR2032 habe ich momentan nicht auf lager, aber bestellt. ich versuche später noch mal die alte.

kaltgerätestecker von der steckdose zum netzteil. das netzteil ist von bequiet. PSU 300 Watt be quiet! System Power 7

Das Netzteil gibt aber Strom ab, die Lüfter laufen und die LED Kontrolleuchte leuchtet. Leider sind auf dem Mainboard keine LED´s oder ein Lautsprecher für Töne verbaut.

ich hab ein extrem seltsames Problem. Wir sind Anfang September für 3 Wochen in den Urlaub gefahren. Um Strom zu sparen haben wir vorher alles komplett aus gemacht, inkl dem NAS. Dazu den Powerbutton gedrückt (leider nicht per software runter gefahren, meine Frau........) und den Netzschalter am Netzteil auf aus. Netzwerk- und Stromkabel blieben verbunden.

Nach der Rückkehr Netzschalter wieder auf an und Powerbutton gedrückt. Die Lüfter laufen an, aber sonst passiert nix. Kein Zeichen von dem NAS im Netzwerk.

Daraufhin NAS mit Bildschirm und Tastatur verbunden um zu schauen was los ist. NIX, kein Videosignal. Weder auf VGA, HDMI noch DPI. 2 verschiedene Bildschirme probiert.

NAS also zu einem anderen LAN Anschluss gebracht, alle Datenplatten abgeklemmt und nur die OS Platte dran gelassen. Neustes OMV per Rufus auf einen Stick gespielt und am USB 2 Steckplatz vom Mainboard (Asrock Q1900ITX) angesteckt. Mainboard Batterie für 30sec entnommen und NAS neu gestartet.

KEINE REAKTION what so ever!! Was ist da los?? Was kann in den 3 Wochen passiert sein?? Stromschlag? Ist das Mainboard gegrillt?? Was kann es sein und wie j´kann ich es raus finden.

Ich hoffe jemand kann helfen. Bin absolut ratlos.

Hello and happy Sunday,

I have an extremely strange problem. We went on vacation for 3 weeks at the beginning of September. In order to save electricity, we turned everything off completely beforehand, including the NAS. To do this, i pressd the power button (unfortunately no shut down by software, my wife........) and the power switch on the power supply unit to off. Network and power cables stayed connected.

After returning, i put the power switch back to on and then power button pressed. The fans run, but nothing else happens. No sign of the NAS on the network.

Then i connected the NAS to a screen and keyboard to see what's going on. Nothing, no video signal. Neither on VGA, HDMI nor DPI. Tried 2 different screens.

So i brought the NAS to another LAN connection, disconnected all data disks and left only the OS disk on. The latest OMV was played on a stick via Rufus and plugged into the USB 2 slot on the mainboard (Asrock Q1900ITX). i Removed the mainboard battery for 30 seconds and restarted the NAS.

NO RESPONSE what so ever!! What's going on there?? What can have happened in the 3 weeks?? electric shock? Is the motherboard grilled? What can it be and how can I find out.

I hope someone can help. I'm absolutely at a loss.

ich habe im Keller einen Serverschrank in dem ich mein OMV NAS untergebracht habe. Es läuft mit OMV 6 und das ziemlich problemlos.

Beim aufsetzen bin ich von OMV 5 gewechselt und habe eine Festplatte verloren. War nicht wirklich wichtiges drauf, aber die Frau ist sauer weil ihre Schnittmuster dabei waren. Jetzt hat sie bammel das sowas wieder passieren kann und ich soll das verhindern.

Also muss ein RAID her. Ich denke es wird ein RAID 6. Soweit so knut, meine Schwirigkeit nun, ich habe 12 unterschiedliche Festplatten verbaut. Was am Anfang so da war und mit der Zeit immer wieder mal eine neue wenn sie günstig war.

Hier die Hardware:

- WD Green 6TB

- WD Red Plus 10TB

- WD Red 6TB

- WD Blue 6TB

- WD Blue 3TB

- Seagate Ironwolf 8TB

- Seagate Ironwolfe 6TB

- Seagate Desktop 3TB

- San disk Ultra 3D SSD 4TB

- San Disk SSD 120GB

- San Disk SSD 120GB

- Samsung 970EVO Nvme 500GB

- Adata XPG Gammix S5 Nvme 1TB

Die Daten sind über alle Festplatten verstreut, meisten ein Themas pro Festplatte. Auf der Adata zB die TV Aufnahmen von TVHeadend, Dokumente auf der kleinen SSD, Fotos auf der WD Red Plus usw.

Die HDD's sind in Hot Swap Schächten, die SSD's über S-ATA erweiterungskarte und die Nvme's auf dem Mainboard direkt angeschlossen.

Meine Frage nun, wie gestalte ich den Umzug aller Daten. Erst mal alles auf eine Platte schieben? Habe extern ein 3TB WD Bookdrive und könnte günstig noch an ein 8TB Bookdrive kommen. Das würde reichen. Dann alle Platten neu initialisieren und in ein RAID übernehmen. Oder geht das auch mit den Daten auf den Platten?

i set up yesterday the OMV 6 and everything is fine, exept that this one device see only ONE of the shares. I dont understand how this is possible.

I checked all the other devices, Windows PS, Android SMartphone, Apple Laptop, IPad and Kodi. All of them working fine.

But on the Apple Iphone 8 i see only 1 share.

Please help me out here!!

im running since a wile a nice system in my basement. Now i have a TV Headend installation running and the recordings are suppost to go to a special folder i create. Tis is working fine so far. But when i´m trying to create a user acces to this folder, i´m getting error messages. I cant find the problem in here. Anybody with an idea?

so, problem gelöst. bin durch einen anderen traed darauf gestoßen das es eine inkompatibilität bei dem PCie standart sein könnte (war's nicht) und bei der suche im handbuch darüber gestolpert das mein mainboard den Slot2 mit dem M.2-M1 Slot teilt. Da dort schon was steckt habe ich die Netzwerkkarte auf Slot4 umgesteckt und jetzt wird sie gefunden, erkannt und funktioniert.



Jetzt noch für de zugriff von ausen konfigurieren und..... voila

habe noch initrd aktualisiert mit update-initramfs -k all -u und dann neustart gemacht. Nun ist r8168 wieder komplett weg wenn ich mit lsmod | grep r8168 schaue
