I was running the last test version and updated this more with no errors.
Since a file could be multiple containers, how would the plugin know what container to exec into?

Ohhhh, I didn't know you meant the containers list on the terminal list. No, it is not sortable. Why would it need to be? The containers are sortable and filterable from the Containers tab and Services tab in the plugin and will open the terminal directly. I just added the container list to the terminal site for testing. It wasn't really meant to be flexible.I don't need an option to resort the container list. I just assumed that the list would be sorted when displayed, it's not a biggy, just a thing I think makes it easy to find the next container you need to exec into.
But I suppose when using the exec function when not testing, perhaps removing the container button is the better option.
I guess I don't understand what isn't working and what is working. I also don't know what you see. Give me exact steps.

Yes but if your list is slow, it will probably be sorted before it is done loading. The datatables are loaded async. That said, I didn't change that code. So, the behavior shouldn't have changed.
I have 33 containers, on a AMD 5600. When changing sort from other tabs seems fine, is there anything I can try my end?
It is working just fine on a handful of containers I tested. The service probably wasn't restarted. sudo systemctl restart omv_compose_term.service
You're correct, it's working find on the few I could fine that used sh.
Not sure if it's possible to do this, but can you print out a error, if a container doesn't have bash or sh? Dozzle doesn't have either.
I would have to go back through commit history and look for large group of commits. I don't have time to do that now.
OK, I've found the list and grabbed it, so I can see what I might have sent you. I'll make time to try and go through the list and add dates and try and check against what is the recommendations now, will take me some time though.

The latest upload on the first post tries bash first and sh second.

I apologize, I'm sure when I submitted the example, I took it from Github, but that was a few versions ago, I'm on beta 16 branch now.
There have been quite a few breaking changes since I submitted it.
Rycoarron, if you can provide the list of files I submitted, I'll go and check them against what is recommended now, and change them, make sure I add a date and the original project page..
Perhaps going forward the submitter can add the date they were submitted, and the project/container page they got them from? Then people can always go to the go the project page and do a sanity check themselves.

Which works and enters to '/app #'I did notice some containers will work with either 'sh' or 'bash' for example the jackett container.
I was surprised how many containers need the 'sh' shell to work.
Is it possible to check if bash returns a error that you can try sh as well?
I expect once people see this, that 1 question that may come up quite a lot is, can this be modified to work from say the OMV dash, or or even better in the menu along side notifications, etc? It would save users having to sshing in, and would just start from the user login directory.

But looking at your system, it looks as though you're using root as your user.
I generally create another user, and make sure it's a member of the 'users' group.
id
uid=1000(newuser) gid=100(users) groups=100(users)...So with the above, this is what I would put in my compose file
