    Hallo Petra,

    Yes, worked. thx.

    Booted from pmagic-cd.
Did't have to resize the filesystem, just do a check in partition manager.
Filesystem already had the size of the raid, but unallocated space in it.

    Hi.
I added 2 additional disks to my sw-raid6.
After growing the raid i wanted to resize the filesystem an got this error:

what can i do to resize the filesystem ?

ok, I've tried, but doesn't work.

The server boots, but the disks (now on a 3ware-9650se-24m controller) are not seen in omv (no hw-raid, controller just in sata mode).
I've tried a fresh install and everything works just fine, even the lsi 3dm2 raid-management-software.
So, now i like to transfer my settings to the fresh install.
But how can I do this ?
I'v tried omv-backup, installed on both systems, do a backup, copy the backup-folder from the old system to the new system (overwrite), but can't restore in omv-firstaid.

How can I transfer the settings ???

    .

    Danke David.

    `Hi.
I'm looking for a new 16-port raid controller.

    My shortlist is:

    Adaptec 51645
    LSI 9650SE-16

Are both supportet by OMV 1.0 ?
Does anyone have one of these controllers and can tell me the advantages / disadvantages ?
The price of both is nearly the same (used ~250 Euro)
Does anyone have another suggestion ?

I want to use it as SATA controller first with my OMV software raid till I can afford 12 new hdd's for a hardware-raid with the new controller.

    Jens

I want to build a new OMV-Server (new hardware except for the datadisks) but keep the settings of my "old".

What's the best way to do this ?
Can I just backup my old systemdisk (gparted or parted magic) to the new one and put the datadisks into the the new server ?

Or should I do a fresh install incl. all previous installed plugins and updates and restore a systembackup done with omv-backup from the old system ?

    Hi.
My OMV is installed on a 500g HD (120g system-partition, rest as data-partition for plex database)
Now I have a 128g SSD and want to use it as system-disk.
So I moved the plex database to my data-raid, deleted the filesystem and removed the partition.
The HD now has only one ext4-partition (omv-system) an 5g swap.
    I made a disk-image and a partition-image with partedmagic.
Trying to restore the disk-image brings an error "targed device to small".
Restoring the partition-image works, but the system doesn't boot. It only shows "GRUB _".

So, what do I have to do to copy my system-partition to my ssd and make it boot ??????

    Thx.

    Hi.

I want to use the rsync-service in omv to do a daily backup of my plex-database.

    My config:

    1 disc with 2 partitions: part 1: omv-system disc, part 2: share for plex-database
    1 raid-6 for data

I want to copy the plex-folder to a shared folder on my raid-6.
But I want to stop the plex-service before copy to be shure no file is in use and start the plex-service after backup.

I've tried to create a rsync-job and it works perfect, but I start it manually and also stop the plex-service manually before.

How could I do this now automated ?

ryeco, you are the best :D
The error is gone an the plugin-list is updated !!
Openvpn-as is shown as installed and works.
I thought the miller-list is from the omv-extras repo.
I used his script because SAB is not available as plugin for kralizek.

    thx !!!!

No, they are not in my sources, they are in openmediavault-millers.list.
    But the millers-repo isn't activated...

My sources are still the same like after wheezy install:

    Doesn't work.
After deinstall it is still shown as installed, but not shown in system-tab.

    Following error during deinstall:

I don't know there should be problems with forkeddaapd, it is not installed.....

    Code
    root@nas:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/omv-extras-org-kralizec.list
    # Regular omv-extras.org repo
    deb http://packages.omv-extras.org/debian/ kralizec main
    # VPN repo
    deb http://dh2k.omv-extras.org/debian/ kralizec-vpn main
    root@nas:~#

I can see the openvpnas plugin.
    But in Webgui:
