Does matter switched to Feenas all is good.
I am at my wits end with this................
So new build on the following platform
U-NAS case 8-bay
Supermicro A1SRi-2758F motherboard
32GB ECC Registered
LSI SAS 9211-8i IT mode
8x 4TB Toshiba N300 drives
Wiped all drives and installed as required.
Built an array in RAID6
Created shares, account etc.
Connected and started transferring data across
After a few hours a couple of drives disappeared
Did exactly the same again and same result
Tried a third time, but this time 4 drives disappeared and the RAID array disappeared and upon reboot 7 drives are there.
Drives are good, 3 are brand new, other have a 1000 hours use only.
I have tried everything, but would like assistance to help get it working and to find out the problem.
Failing this, it'll be Freenas as I know that works on this platform
Advice or suggestions??
Thanks in advanced
Strange, individual shared folders are there now.
So, my OMV install has been working for around 2 years, and suddenly stopped updating etc.
I decided this weekend to reinstall both of a my OMV's (I have 2), first one went well and is now operational, reinstalling was easy.
Second one however has now decided not to play ball
First, the system can see the RAID array (4x 2TB discs)
File system shows 2.9TiB out of 5.37TiB used, all good so far
I create a shared folder and then a share in SMB...................folder is shared but nothing is in it
Help is required and appreciated
Cheers, I'll just have to put up with it then, as I don't have enough space to backup it all up.
Hey all, long time posting in here, but quick question......
5x 2TB in RAID 5 (120GB SSD boot)
Need to remove one of the 2TB resulting in shrinking the array.
Can this be done without loss of data??
Also is it done by making sure there is enough spare space and just resizing the FS?
I was going to remove one of the drives and try resizing, but unsure about this.
Impressive, all I used was the BananaPi acrylic case which looks ****.
Maybe I need to do this to mine as well.
Thanks all worked out fine.
Looks like it is no longer there, so obviously gone.
HP N36L with 5 2TB drives (running off a 60GB SSD) & 4GB RAM
That will explain why it isn't uninstalling, my system is just sat there at 100% CPU usage doing nothing!
And It is in the plugins, thats where I am uninstalling it from
Nope still on 1.0.9, it updated from original to this, after restart I get "Bad Request (Invalid host)"
Mine no longer works!
Can I uninstall this without it taking anything else with it?
Installed perfectly as per instructions, and working fine.
Thanks to all who had a hand in this.
I installed following the installation process and it came up with that error.
I followed the procedure in the first post.
Thanks for the reply.
I have uninstalled this until the installation process can be fixed as to be a single install process.
Good work regardless
Wow on paper this looked great, I have been using MB3 for sometime now and its really good at what it does.
I had this on another machine running, but would have always liked it on my OpenMediaVault server.............
I have just installed it, and I get an error when trying to Apply:Code
Failed to execute command 'omv-mkconf mediabrowser moveDbFolder 2>&1': Moving database from to ... chown: changing ownership of `/media/a3ebfc7e-432d-4fd8-b07e-24bf85dba2eb/aquota.user': Operation not permitted chown: changing ownership of `/media/a3ebfc7e-432d-4fd8-b07e-24bf85dba2eb/aquota.group': Operation not permitted
OK back in now, after doing a apt-get clean && reboot
Something is filling the OS drive obviously, but what?
I have no loggin on, no rsync nothing like that.
