There aren't any sensitive data since it's VPNBOOK, a free provider.
I created it without Docker compose or command line tools, but with Portainer tool "add container" like here.
(Portainer shows "Starting" and I don't reach the webui on 192.168.0.78:9092, 9091 is used for normal transmission until vpn will start working)
Sure, but I'm not using Docker so often, so I don't know how can I find the command file.
Could you help me?
How can I change tun0 to tun1 for example?
I think that's the problem, because a tun0 device already exists.

Yes, and sorry for the late answer, I wasn't at home.

I'm using a VPN server to reach my server from outside.
And I wanna use a VPN client (Transmission-Vpn) to hide ip, because I'm downloading and seeding torrents.
The point is I don't want to use VPN client for everything, just for Transmission BT.
VPN is running outside Docker, I use it to access my server from the internet without port forwarding (some security alertness).
Usually nothing is connected to the VPN unless I'm not at home and configuring anything or using SMB.
And a quick question:
I have OpenVPN server installed and running 24/7, so the tun0 device is not available. Do I have to tell the container that it should use tun1 instead of tun0?
Thanks for the answer.
Where can I put this configuration? Do I have to set these on the first run of the container?
Hello there,
I'm struggling with transmission with vpn container in Docker (Raspberry Pi 4).
I pulled
jstrader/transmission-openvpn:latest |
And confiigured like shown in this and this video. (In Portainer, so I couldn't add these:
--network=mynet
-p 9091:9091
Extra arguments for special problems
--dns 8.8.8.8 --dns 8.8.4.4
--sysctl net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6=0
OPENVPN_CONFIG=CA\ Toronto
Also added --cap-add=NET_ADMIN -d by checking it in Portainer.
But when I run the container, the output is this:
Using OpenVPN provider: VPNBOOK
No VPN configuration provided. Using default.
Setting OPENVPN credentials...
Error: argument "0.0.0.0" is wrong: "metric" value is invalid

Could someone help me?
Bests,
Matt
After a restart, none of my things worked.
I checked /sharedfolders and there was just my internal SD folders.
So, I opened /etc/fstab again, copied the openmediavault rule and added it to /sharedfolders too.
After a restart, it works.
Plex, and mount, and my webserver.
Thread resolved.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Is it okay if I remove noexec now, after I configured everything?
Hello there,
I installed Plex Media Server in Docker (on a Raspberry Pi 4) with the help of TechnoDadLife's video.
Everything is fine on my local network. I even reach config panel (my.dns.name:32400) through my DNS. But when I start playing any video with even 480p (tried both on my local network through Dns and on 4G with my phone), an error shows:
Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.
after loading a lot or after I fast-forward into the video.
Please help, I didn't find any solution yet.
Bests,
Matt
Yeah, but with that enabled it wasn't working
Now it is.
That was a long, painful and bad configuration what I was using.
Managed to fix.
Somehow the third of my firewall rules disappeared so I had to rethink and reconfigure all again, but now it works.
Yeah...
And it is after an hour or so, but not immediately.
For example, when I waked my PC up the connection was slow but now:

Yes, I've unchecked that and any other power management or saving settings in Device Manager (I don't know the English name of that panel).
Also enabled only 1Gbps with full duplex...
I'll have a look at the cables then...
But I don't get it: it works fine after boot/reboot, or after about half an hour (sometimes), but not after a sleep then wake up.
