I have been looking for a small solution for a long time how to listen to music from a NAS.
Managed to find this - Music Folder Player - https://github.com/ltguillaume/music-folder-player
docker-compose.yml - https://github.com/ltguillaume…docker/docker-compose.yml
You can use this guide (for newbies): [How to] Prepare OMV to install docker applications
Enjoy!
my OMV in 2023.03.22
Thank you very much votdev , ryecoaaron, Agricola, macom, and all members of our community, everyone who helps newbies linux users.
We really appreciate everything you do 🤍
This is the most inaccurate/misleading description of Docker the Internet might hold 😐
Where is the mistake?
I guess nothing is forbidden. It’s just that it will be an uphill slog without docker. I don’t know why so many shy away from docker. It’s as easy as falling off a log, once you get the hang of it.
i love docker, but it:
- consumes a lot of resources
- needs to be updated and monitored
It is now fashionable, and it is often used inappropriately.

Hello Agricola. I want to run a simple php site without databases, and open it internet.
Can this be done without docker? (how it was on OMV-4 nginx-plugin)
Or is using docker mandatory in OMV?
I want to replace the processor with a more powerful one.
Will the system need to be reinstalled?
Sorry for the stupid question, i'm new linux user.
Yes, thank you. It did not help.
I will now reinstall the system and in the future I will make a backup.
The error is very strange.
What is the output of timedatectl?
Did you set the timezone with omv-firstaid?
If yes, change it to something else and then back.
Then check again if php-fpm can be started.
I did everything. Same error....System rebooted.
It is not clear why no changes are made.
Reinstall system?
Did you run the commands in the given sequence?
Yes

If you killed an SSD with the flashmemory plugin installed, you were doing things other than OMV (docker maybe? enabled monitoring?) on the OS disk. Or it was just bad from the factory.
I remembered there were emergency blackouts, I think that up to 50 times. Docker was running by default.
I didn't know docker monitoring could be disabled. Thank you!
My experience.
I used SSD Flash 16GB (Transcent) with plugin enabled openmediavault-flashmemory.
Exactly 1 year later the disc died.
