I can see RAID 1, all disks!

I try to recover RAID, but there is no disc in window to select!

What to do

For external HDD backup I hesitate between

• Toshiba X300 Performance 8TB, SATA 6Gb/s, bulk (HDWF180UZSVA) Conventional Magnetic Recording (CMR) my favorite!

Hello, I would like to ask something for optimization of my NAS.

I have SSD as system drive, OMV 3. and 2 WD Red 3 tb on RAID1. I am a photographer and need a perfect and safety system, like f.ex. RAID1.

My system is totally messed up, , I must install it again.

Can I reinstall OMV to 5.0 and then just mount data HDDs which are currently on RAID1?

If I move my RAID1 Disks on a new clean installation could I have problems?

Normally the new install should detect the raid signatures on each drive! Isn’t correct?

I intend to unplug the data disks before reinstall and plugin and mount after. Should I configure RAID 1 again or system will automatically recognize the old one? If not - how can I restore Raid 1 after OMV reinstall without missing data?

I need a bit more volume and will by 2 x Seagate IronWolf Pro NAS 4tb and intend to configure also RAID1, I hope it is possible to have simultaneously 2 configured RAID1 without some troubles.

I would like to have a backup of all my photos (ca 2 tb), It is necessary to do an extra HDD for that? Raid is not a backup! I know
