    things are running great in my setup of omv and owncloud, just a question about owncloud.
    OMV is showing some updates, jre 7, OMV 1.4 and owncloud 1.2
    I'm running OMV version 1.1, I followed guide from tekkb to install owncloud, should I or can I install these updates or am i looking for problems.I'm a little (ADD) and seeing updates kills me to not install them.

    I'm running OMV version 1.1, and as above followed the guide from tekkb.
    should or can i install these updates or am i looking for problems.
    I'm a little (ADD) and seeing updates kills me to not install them.

    hey tekkb,
    really didnt want to start another thread.

    do you know why my owncloud log is full of this?

    Code
    {"reqId":"54715ad17e0b5","app":"OC_Group_OpenMediaVault","message":"[color=#FF0000]Failed to get user 'my user name[/color]' (code=6000, [color=#FF0000]message=User 'my user name' does not exist[/color])","level":3,"time":"2014-11-23T03:56:01+00:00","method":"PUT","url":"\/remote.php\/webdav\/InstantUpload\/DSC_0087.JPG-chunking-2575-3-2"}

    this is from the instant upload, it's working my picture uploaded ok. could this be a cause for concern?
    here's another example of an error,

    Code
    {"reqId":"54715ace02c48","app":"PHP","message":"session_name(): session.name cannot be a numeric or empty '149445847801185383881132081368447442588' at \/var\/www\/owncloud\/lib\/private\/session\/internal.php#20","level":3,"time":"2014-11-23T03:55:58+00:00","method":"PUT","url":"\/remote.php\/webdav\/InstantUpload\/DSC_0087.JPG-chunking-2575-3-0"}

    When you paste in code use the codebox or click on source. That way you do not lost formatting. That looks correct but spacing seems off cuz you did not use one of methods I mention. Let me check this error.

    Can you tell me, does your common name in your SSL certificate match that dyndns address?
    Also, post editing your config.php can you still connect locally?

    the spacing was off in my post as i tried to edit the spacing but messed it up, i hand wrote the code in nano editor.
    yes my common name matches my ssl certificate less adding the port 8443.
    local ip still works after adding 1 => 'username.dyndns.org:8443',, but my error changed agin, error is now couldnt establish connection.

    ok so it will look like this?

    'trusted_domains' =>

    Code
    array (
    0 => '192.168.1.12:8443',
    1 => 'username.dyndns.org:8443',
    ),

    Sorry i'm not that fluent in terminal, i'm more dangerous than experienced.

    Ok i figured it out, this was already in there,

    Code
    array (
    0 => '192.168.1.12:8443',1 =>',
    ),

    hi all,
    I just followed this guide to install the latest version of owncloud.
    ownCloud 7 install on OMV 1 with current plugin

    first let me say this is the best guide i have ever had to follow, percise and accurate right down to the end, hats off to tekkb for putting the time into this.

    My question is about the owncloud android app, this might be the wrong place to ask so if it is please excuse my ignorance.

    here's where i'm at, i can put in my address; "https://address:8443
    i then get a pop up to accept the certificate, which i do and then i get the error "Unknown error occurred"
    has anyone had this error?
    Thanks for any help.

    ok i installed the latest version off omv (system list i have version 1.1) so i started with a fresh install.

    i then added the extras plugin and installed deluge, no errors on deluge install.
    i then changed the directories, added a torrent and all was good.

    today i tried to open deluge web gui and the page won't load.
    i cleared chrome's cache and still no web gui, i then tried to open in firefox, same issue web gui wont load.
    I checked updates and saw some updates for deluge and installed them, still the same no web gui.
    not sure if this helps but i can see the deluge icon in the tab while trying to load the page.

    how do i troubleshoot this? I'm not sure how to figure out what is causing the web gui to not load.

    Thanks for any help or guidance.

    Hi everyone, i just upgraded omv to version 1.2
    i have installed deluge from the plugins.
    how do i change the directories deluge downloads too?
    it now says /home/deluge-daemon
    where is home?
    how do i change to a folder on another drive?
    If someone knows would you be kind enough to help me out.Thanks

    I found how to add the custom directories.
    here's what i did.
    opened the shared folder in OMV and used the full path from there.
    EX: /media/39d40c6d-97fc-489f-830c-0fd72a4160f7/TorrentZ_Incomplete

    then in OMV made sure deluge had the right permissions R/W

    thats all.

    Boot your live CD again and backup the data from there ASAP.

    Greetings
    David

    Thanks
    Yeah new drive in and all data saved, the old drive is only 10 months old, seagate is the make.
    I have been trying to wipe the drive with fdisk, gdisk, and gparted keep throwing errors.
    It's driving me nuts, maybe the drive is a gonner. i just wiped the drive and in gparted used option z in expert menu to wipe and write a new gpt. i then rebooted into omv and tried to add the drive and get this error.
    Caution: invalid main GPT header, but valid backup; regenerating main header
    from backup!

    Caution! After loading partitions, the CRC doesn't check out!
    Warning! Error 5 reading partition table for CRC check!
    Warning! One or more CRCs don't match. You should repair the disk!

    Invalid partition data!
    Warning! GPT backup partition table not overwritten! Error is 5

    any ideas on what i should do to see if i can save the drive? this might have been started by a power outage while a movie was being watched on my htpc. or it could be a bad drive.

    Ok I ran fsck on my 3 terra byte drive wich is sdc
    the command i used while booted to the live cd was fsck -y /dev/sdc1

    after it ran it appeared to be ok, lots of errors but ending with it being fixed.
    i mounted it from the live cd and all my data was there and it seemed to be fine. i unmounted the drive turned off the machine and rebooted to omv.
    the first error says the time stamp was wrong but fixed.
    now i get
    ata6 status drdy error
    ata6 error unc
    ata6 exception mask 0x0 sact 0x0 serr 0x0 action 0x0
    ata6 bmdma stat 0c65
    ata failed command read dma ext
    ata6 cmd25/00:09:0f: and so on.

    the above text keeps repeating for every block i guess.

    anyone have an idea what i can try next?
    Thanks

    Hey all,
    I have a problem and could use a little help.
    I was having a problem with 2 drives one was xfs and the other is ext4.
    now on my setup the omv box is connected to a monitor that's shared too 2 computers so i do have access to a command prompt.
    So i logged in as admin and ran fsck on the ext4 drive with no success i also ran fsck -a and fsck -y and the errors remained. i then ran a check on the xfs drive (can't remember what i had to type) but it failed.

    so i then ran knoppix live cd and ran gparted, now my ext4 drive says no file system, how can i fix this?
    what should i run from the live cd?

    ok I'm runnning fsck from the live cd in terminal again
    I entered, sudo fsck -y /dev/sdc1

    i see the is over and over again
    error reading block 109884555223 (attempt to read block from file system resulted in short read) while getting inode from scan. ignore error? yes
    force rewrite? yes.

    this is going to take a while, i'll be back tomorrow night as i'm going to bed and work in the am.

    Ok I just sat down re read tekkbebe post and tried again to set up SFTP. did not work, problem my phone gave very limited info on why.
    So i then figured i would try filezilla, set it up and bingo it worked.

    Here is what went wrong on my phone, the share was the issue, filezilla accepted and works with the name i gave my data share and my phone wanted the long drive identifier.

    So yeah it's ez to set up, should have just tried in an app on my comp first.

    Quote from "tekkbebe"

    You can add it ez.... But again it is because of Debian Squeeze, not OMV. I'm not going to make a Guide now. I might later tonight or this weekend.

    This is why I love projects like this, people helping people.
    Thanks tekkbebe
