Did you had or have the flashmemory plugin installed?

This was more an issue with it.

And if it still installed, you should have removed it and purged before installing the writecache plugin

Okey Soma, you have the right way !!!!! :-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-)

You right, I make many check and detect you are on the rignt way, the problem is caused by folder2ram with usage of "tmpfs". --> like the plugin flashmemory !!!

I uninstall this plugin and make a new restart, all ok now.

Is the plugin have an update this 2 last week ?! I don't know, but this is the reason of my problem --> NOW SOLVED

Tested now, restart not work, I have to recreate the access.log for nginx.

But, this time I receive 3 mail from OMV at start :

    1) after restart

    2 + 3 after recreate the access.log file :

Hi all, thanks for your help and reply :)

Yes, I have the plugin "flashmemory", from long time and no problem with it before when I have to restart (change hdd, or other actions).

These last days, I had to restart because hdd defect :( and noticed this "bug"

I never had this "bug" before, the only new install from last weeks is the plugin "writecache", this is the reason I ask you if this is the cause ?!...

The reason I'm asking about this plugin too is this config (actually I deactivate the plugin, but don't have tested a restart) I can make this if you think is necessary (I think is necessary to take a feedback yes :-))

Hi,From recently, every time I have to restart my server, all functions are ok, but not possible to have the login page GUI (dosn't exist).

After test, I discover that I have to do 2 things :

    Code
    sudo mkdir /var/log/nginx

    and create

    Quote

    sudo touch /etc/var/log/nginx/access.log

    Any idea ?

Is the writecache plugin do that ? I installed recently

Thanks in advance at all :)

    Best regards

I, thanks for your response, this is the output :

    Hi,

I have probably the same problem.

Unable to login OMV, error appear

This appear only after a search for update and install apt-tool in the web interface GUI (with connection lost on information terminal)

omv-firstaid to renew the workbench password, but no change, and no access to my web interface. No error in the config file

OMV seems to be active, kvm and share are ok and accessible...

    I receive this mail alert

    and this

Do you have any ID ?

#apt install --reinstall openmediavault not work too

    You are a GOD :)

I make this now, without restart the error go out !!!

Thanks you very much for your quick help and reactivity !!!

Now I'm going to check all retrieved files with R-Linux on my backup, I lost monday all my 40 years data on 30 sec because I make a faulty command. the problem was the command make rm -rf on all /srv/dev* and at the same moment all my HDD backup were connected on the server (include external usb HDD) ... after the new réinstall omv 7x (from 4.x) :(

I'm terribly angry with myself and myself

    Like this ?

    Thanks you in advance :)

    Hi everyone,

I have a big lost of data (that's my fault) with a faulty command rm-rf.

Actually I am restoring all data from a backup, but the backup are connected to the server when a make the faulty command.

omv work fine I thing, but the only thing a have trouble is the cron, I don't know why, but I have this error when I want apply/save configuration (after adding or delete schedule task is the same thing) (see the capture)

Do you have a solution to solve this ? Or restore this function correctly ?

Thanks in advance (and sorry for my bad english, I speak french normally)

Very thanks for your help, I appreciate.

I add this like that directly on interface (it seem work) :

I understand your opinion about upgrade, and I really think you are right.

People have to make upgrade for security, usage and support product.

When the OMV 6.x release for prod (non for test) , it's a possibility for me to upgrade system with fresh install. Because my plan is to migrate all server to proxmox and using OMV only for stockage after.

Bests Regards to you and all forum :)

    Hi thanks for your response.

I have disable bintray repo to stop the failed update, that's ok

Previously I make a backup of all plugin for the 4.x version from Bintray to my server.

I don't want upgrade because 4x work fine with many modifications from me, and i like to use Virtualbox with integration on OMV.

Perhaps in the futur i test the OMV 6.x and upgrade...
