I have made a clean install of omv3 now. Additionaly I have activated the following PlugIns: OMV-Extras, Plexmediaserver, Remote Desktop, ClamAV and Autoshutdown.
Now I have a problem with Autoshutdown. I cannot activate the PlugIn. When I set the PlugIn to active and klcik to save I've got the following message ": Missing 'required' attribute 'checksamba'."
What's the problem an what can I do now?

Thank you Mio! It works!
I've changed the line 7-8 to my ip-adress (without port) and restart all. Now I can login correctly with IP-adress and https-URL.
I'll try to add the pc-name to this area and I think the login should also works.

Hello Mio! I've done all the things you said but without success
I've disabled the OMV-SSL in general tab an aktivate the ssl in ngnix (with default port 443).

If i try to login with url http://x.x.x.x:90 I'll get the same error like my first post after inserting my login data.

If I try the url http://x.x.x.x:433 I'll get the error directly. Then I cant see the Login page.

I've installed OC 8.1.1 by following this thread. But I have a problem I can't solve. OC is runnig. I see the login-screen with URL http://x.x.x.x:90/index.php
But after I've filled out name and password, I've got an error in webbrowser.
=> Chrome says: "SSL-Verbindungsfehler ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR"
URL is then: https://x.x.x.x:90/index.php/apps/files/
=> IE says: "Die Seite kann nicht angezeigt werden" (The site cannot display)
URL is then: http://x.x.x.x:90/index.php
=> Edge says: "Leider können wir nicht auf diese Seite zugreifen." (near the same like IE)
URL is then: http://x.x.x.x:90/index.php
When I connect with OC-Client for windows, I can login cooret and see the files. But I cannot Setup new users etc.
In the past, there was running an OC7-installation without any problems on the same machine. I've deleted this befor I've installed the new OC 8.1.1. But the self-signed SSL-certificate was the same and expired in 2025.
Who can help me?

It's all right (after restart too)

I have the same problem after installing all the last updates today. There was some updates for apache.
If I stop the service with "service apache2 stop" and start nginx with "service nginx restart" then I get the webgui again.
I think I don't need apache, because OMV use NGINX, right? But how I uninstall the apache2 package?
When I use "update-rc.d -f apache2 remove" I get the message "update-rc.d: using dependency based boot sequencing"

Seit dem Upgrade auf Version 1.x (aktuellste Debian Version) erhalte ich bei aktivierter eMail-Benachrichtigung für S.M.A.R.T. immer wieder eine Mail mit folgendem Inhalt:

Bei der Überprüfung habe ich festgestellt, dass die Platten alle i.O. sind. Allerdings läuft der S.M.A.R.T.-Dienst scheinbar nicht. Ich muss diesen dann immer deaktivieren und dann wieder aktivieren. Dann kann ich auch die Platten wieder abfragen und die Mail erscheint nicht mehr. Am nächsten Tag gehts dann aber wieder von vorne los.
Vor dem Update gab es dieses Verhalten nicht.
Wie kann ich das Problem beheben?

Also bei mir hat das mit dem Netzwerkkabel abziehen leider nicht funktioniert. Der Rechner hing weiterhin. Habe dann wie von David empfohlen von einer LIVE-CD gebootet und in der Datei "interfaces" unter \etc\network\ sämtlich IP V6 EInträge auskommentiert. Danach konnte ich wieder booten.

Ok, Danke! Ich versuchs mit einer Knoppix-CD oder lade mir sonst eine Debian herunter.
Habe da schon ein paar threads gefunden bzgl. manueller Anpassung. Sollte ich doch nicht zurecht kommen werde ich hier nochmals um Rat fragen.

Danke für die Unterstützung! Ich komme damit auf eine neue shell, aber leider blinkt hier nur der Cursor. Ich kann da leider nichts eingeben, geschweige denn mich einloggen. Muss ich noch etwas machen?

Habe meinen OMV von 0.5.59auf die aktuelle Version 1.x "upgedated". Das Update hat soweit auch korrekt funktioniert. Ich konnte via WebGui und Putty auf den OMV zugreifen.
Dann habe ich über die WebGui in der Netzwerkkonfig die bis dato nicht genutzte IP V6 Funktionalität aktiviert und auf "Auto" gestellt. Nach dem Speichern hing die Weboberfläche. Ich musste den Rechner per über der Ein/Aus-Schalter neu starten.
Seit dem bleibt der Rechner jedoch beim Start stehen => siehe angehängten Screenshot. Ich komme über diesen Punk nicht hinaus und kann weder über Putty noch über die WebGui auf den OMV zugreifen.
Ich habe leider auch nicht wirklich Ahnung in Sachen Linux. Kann mir jemand bei der Problembehebung helfen? Gibt es eine Möglichkeit die "hängende Stelle" beim hochfahren zu übergehen um wenigstens per Kommandozeile die Konfiguration anpassen zu können?
