Since upgrading to OMV v8 omv-regen backup which I have scheduled every night is throwing errors similar to this one from last night.

Confirming that creating symlinks in /dev/md resolves the issue.

It's odd, I have 3 MD arrays, 0, 1 and 7 and only 1 symlink for 0 was created by OMV 8 install. Perhaps there is a bug?

Successful upgrade from v7-v8 and Debian 12->13in place using omv-release-upgrade.

Thank you for a job well done.

    Some issues:

NUT has a bug that if any change is made to the parameters usbhid-ups -a @upsname goes to 100% on a single core and is only resolvable via a reboot. I repeated this multiple times.

The MD card on the dashboard no longer shows the device name.

Finally, regarding the known issue of Solution to slow boot time (systemd-networkd-wait-online.service) - Guides - openmediavault, it appears OMV is generating a wait on all network devices.

in my case, enp1s is dual port 10g fiber card where eno1 is the motherboard NIC and wlp132s0 is the wifi. I do not use the motherboard NIC or WIFI but keep then on the system in case something goes wrong with the fiber environment. Suggestion would be to provide a checkbox on a per NIC basis to wait or not wait and generate the yaml files accordingly.

Thank you for an awesome year with Open Media Vault.

    Happy 2026.
