will i lose the containers i allready have running????
I have a problem when i try to install docker-gui.
I had docker plugin preinstalled . Do i have to uninstall and then install docker-gui????
@tekkb I did break but on the test machine
When i get some free time (it is high season here right now) i will have a look at it
I don't know much about omv plugin development but after 17 years i can manage linux
Would it be helpfull if i get a solution on debian and implement it on omv?
@tekkb Hi . i did the reverse test and i couldn't install sonarr after emby . Different problems but all related to mono.
I guess i will have to settle for the docker version as it seems to work adequately well
If a solution comes up or you need testing done drop me a line
Thanks for your time
no worries . I managed to install the docker version and it seems to run faster than the vm.
It seems that sonarr and emby have different dependencies installed and you can't have both because of mono.
Perhaps an update is needed for the plugins ???
I have a test machine and i will test the opposite tomorrow (1st install emby and then sonarr just to check)
The same result
If i try to manual install the missing dependancies i reach a point where i get this
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libmono-corlib4.0-cil : Depends: mono-runtime (< 2.10.8.2) but 4.0.3.20-0xamarin1 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
apt-get install mono-runtime

mono-runtime is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

Is it possible to install 2 versions of mono-runtime ?
Will this have any impact in sonarr installation?
OK here goes
cat /etc/apt/sources.list

@dingo
when i had a similar problem with sonarr the crazy solution was clearing the cache of my web browser.
The problem was with chrome . Chrome would give me connection refused and firefox would connect OK
Thanks.
Ps free vacation to greece for the solution .I' be been at it for weeks
Sorry but I have to leave for work. Can we pick it up later?
It has the same result with or without mono-testing
My device is amd64 .
already tried it .
This is what i get
apt-get install openmediavault-emby
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
openmediavault-emby : Depends: cli-common-dev (>= 0.7) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
when i try to install cli-common-dev i get another unmet dependancy and then another
and finally comes down to this
libmono-corlib4.0-cil : Depends: mono-runtime (< 2.10.8.2) but 4.0.3.20-0xamarin1 is to be installed
I am running Stone Burner 2.1.9
I have sonarr plugin installed and everything is running fine . When i try to install emby i get an error about dependencies but there is no way to install them.
I think it has something to do with mono versions.
Can someone make any suggestions
PS i have emby running in a virtual machine with nfs share mount , but the lag is horrible
