    Hi all,

looking into my error-log of cups i just found several messages:

    Code
    E [17/Jul/2017:23:18:11 +0200] Unknown directive BrowseOrder on line 10 of /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.
    E [17/Jul/2017:23:18:11 +0200] Unknown directive BrowseAllow on line 11 of /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.
    E [17/Jul/2017:23:18:11 +0200] Unknown directive BrowseRemoteProtocols on line 12 of /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.
    E [17/Jul/2017:23:18:11 +0200] Unknown directive BrowseAddress on line 13 of /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.
E [17/Jul/2017:23:18:11 +0200] Unknown browse protocol "CUPS" ignored.

When i edit cupsd.conf und mark these lines as comments, the reappear when restarting cups by webif. Is there any solution within OMV 3.latest not to rewrite cupsd.conf?

    I discovered additional messages:

    Code
[date, time]; warning; createprofile failed: org.freedesktop.dbus.error.serviceunknown: The name org.freedesktop.ColorManager was not provided by any .service files
[date, time]; warning; createDevice failed: org.freedesktop.dbus.error.serviceunknown: The name org.freedesktop.ColorManager was not provided by any .service files

There are two printer queues (bw/col) for one HP CLJ 3800 with driver "HP Color LaserJet 3800 Postscript (recommended)" installed. Is there someone with an idea to solve that issue?

I'd like to check a few things:

You can't see the old drive even when you boot up with your new msata? That would be bad.
You have a backup of /etc on your data-drive? If yes, you could check all neccessary settings within that backup.

If both questions are answered with no, i suggest to step up to OMV3 und after reconfiguring install and use backup-plugin - once on data-drive and on isb-flash.

I would say you must solve your DNS-issue first. Afterwards you may update your system sufficiently.

Do you use DHCP with an ip stuck to omv?
DNS of your router. You might exercise with "8.8.8.8" in DNS-Settings System\Network\Interfaces\<your first nic to router>\Advanced Settings.

    Give it a try.

Are you able to run following commands at cli?
    ping 8.8.8.8
    ping www.google.com
    Should look like:

    Code
    ruth@omv:~# ping www.google.com
    PING www.google.com (216.58.212.196) 56(84) bytes of data.
    64 bytes from ams16s21-in-f4.1e100.net (216.58.212.196): icmp_seq=1 ttl=52 time=41.6 ms
    64 bytes from ams16s21-in-f4.1e100.net (216.58.212.196): icmp_seq=2 ttl=52 time=41.5 ms

    ifconfig -a

    Hi folks,

I'm stuck to get dnsmasq running. I checked all entries against my backup and copied them manually, but there is no dhcp-Server. By starting the service I get these error-messages:

    What about my settings:
    eth0:
    192.168.2.11/255.255.255.0; GW: 192.168.2.254; DNS: 192.168.2.254

    eth1:
    192.168.22.11/255.255.255.0;

IP-forwarding is enabled and works vice versa.
I need dnsmasq-dhcp for eth1 only and new hardware should be able to get outside. This worked already with OMV-2.

    Whats missing? Thnx for patience.

    Regards

Yes, I did install it via webIf. But due to difficulties with collectd/rrchached and vbox I decided to switch to OMV-3.

This works ootb with vbox and other plugins from omv-extras.
Thanks for your help and work.
