But I have install this version several times the latest days. Tried both cd Version of the 1.0.20 i386 and the 1.0.20 amd64.

The Whole story started when I upgraded 0.5.60 to 1.0.20 remotely. Everything looks great, but when I went to the omv to look at the screen it was black. I then thought that the motherboard was broken, so bought a whole new computer and installed the omv 1.0.20 from cd on it. But the screen is black as described, before I upgraded the Version everything was ok on the screen.

Looks for me that maybee there is something wrong With this Version, would it soon be a 1.6 iso version available??

Now tried that but not helping.

I have used the cd version to install from. Have also now tried the recovery mode, and it shows some text, and then black screen again. Have also installed the latest extras, and set the latest as boot kernel.

And the result is the same, few lines with text and then black screen!

Have now updated the grub file with the resolution, doesn't work

Tried also all 3 apt-get, all successfully run, but doesn't help about the black screen

Some more input here;

try installing again and this time With the 2 raid disk Connected. On the motherboard the omv disk is on Sata1, raid on Sata2 and Sata3. In the bios i put the disk in the same list. But when I install the omv, it detect 3 disk, and the omv disk is nr. 3, I choose that and everything is ok to the Grub boot loader shall install. It tries to install to /dev/sda, but the omv disk is /dev/sdc.

Could that be the problem??

And as I have now tried several installation, do I have to wipe the disk bethween the installation??

Gigabyte F2A78M-D3H motherboard with 4GB Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Sport 1600mhz ram and AMD A4-7300 cpu. Seagate Barracuda 250GB disk, and 2 x 2TB WD20EARX Raid

Now I have installed 1.0.20 amd64 but the same thing happend. the grub shows, and a few lines, then black screen, and after a few second a beep. Also the Upgrade window in webgui is just white without any text

Ang now after log on into the webgui, I try to install the newest Version. I click Upgrade and a New Windows is appear, but nothing text is showing in the Windows. Is that correct?? In earlier Version I have used, the upgradeprocess is showing in this window.

Yes after finding the ipadr in my router, I can log into the omv with webgui. Ok, so installing amd64 will not fix the problem you think??

And the screen conected directly to the omv is black, not a blinking cursor or any text at all.

I Guess not, the screen have I been using for a long time without problems. About the resolution I don't know how to change that, and the motherboard is new.

But I think I maybee have found the mistake. I have installed the i386 Version, but I found out that the cpu is amd, should I then installed the amd64 Version??

Yes the Grub-menu is showing up a sec, and then a few lines on the scren before the screen turn black

I have installed a new omv from 1.0.20 iso file, everything work great during installation. But when I try to start up after the installation is finished, I only got few lines with text, and then the screen goes black and I only hear a beep. (the normal beep when the system is started). Nothing appear on the screen, what could be wrong?? Something which should be disabled/enabled in the bios or??

Nothing happens if I try to put echo "root:Lb69?" | chpasswd in command line either.

Have installed a New omv, Version 1.0.20. During installation I put in a password. When the installation is Complete, I can login to webgui With admin/openmediavault, but can't login to console with root/openmediavault, or admin/openmediavault, or root/ (my password set during installation) or admin/ (my password set during installation).

Read on the forum that I can reset root password using cron. So try the following;
Under scheduled jobs, I created a New job, unchecked the enabled Box, and in the command I put the following code;

root:Lb69? | chpasswd.

I saved it, and try to run, but nothing happend, and in the window where I push start, it it just white, nothing appear.

What did I do wrong??

The problem With Connections to shared folders is coming back. It work great for a little while, but then the speed to/from OMV is going to 0 (zero) for some seconds before it work as normal again.
