Is it safe to manually install new emby server versions?

Hi,

I am running omv 2.1.15 with emby-plugin .

When I connect to my emby web client and choose server, it tells me:

Code

Version 3.0.5675.1


A new version of Emby Server is available!


Version 3.0.5724.5 is now available for download.


Please shutdown the server and update manually.

So, I am running version 3.0.5675.1 of emby server. Is it safe to install manually the new version or do I better wait for an update of the emby-plugin?

I think you have to wait until the developer update the version for OMV. It doesn't take to much time for the Omv-version.

In command line:
service emby stop

Then in the plugin settings click on the force update button.

That is all you have to do.
