Hello,
I have a HP micro server N54L with OMV 2.1 (on a SSD drive) and 4 x 2TB in RAID 5.
The file-system is full and therefore bought 4 x 6TB to replace them.
My question is the best way to migrate without loosing the data.
I have a spare desktop with 4 SATA ports to help the conversion.
How would you do it?
- Remove the drives from the N45L and format the whole new array and thenput them on the spare desktop to do the migration?
- Crate the whole array, LVM, ext4.fs on the spare PC, rsync all data and then insert those new disks on the N54L ?
Would you use a standard ubuntu and which procedure would you do?
Thanks,
Alex
