Hello Everyone,
I have made a fresh install of 5.0.11 on a Armbian_5.91 Debian buster image using the armbian-config utility. After that I have installed docker, and the system became incapeable to resolve hosts (ie nslookup google.com fails, nslookup google.com 8.8.8.8 works).
I have tried to change the DNS in the WebGUI, and that failed with an error message about The property options does not exist in the model conf.system.network.interface. I have found a closed githib issue about it, (https://github.com/openmediavault/openmediavault/issues/282), and based on (https://wiki.debian.org/Networ…n#Network_Interface_Names) guessed that 70-persistent-net.rules is the culprit.
Checked, it was missing. Created one based on (https://wiki.debian.org/Networ…HE_ORIGINAL_SIMPLE_SCHEME), and after a reboot or two, I was able to find google.com with NSlookup. As a side note, I tried to install portainer in the mean time, and before the change the open web interface button tried to open 0.0.0.0:9000, after that it opened 192.168.0.5:9000 (and it works).
To the best of my understanding, 70-persistent-net.rules is depricated in buster (it even lacks the script to generate it), but it does respect it, is there anything really obvious that I have managed to overlook?
Regards,
Rallaic
