As I have OMV handling an hardware raid5 formatted XFS.
I was surprised to find out that my file fragmentation reached 86%
So I has to go through the steps described at the link above to essentially defragment the volume,
Apparently adding this parameter
allocsize=512M
to the fstab reduces greatly the chance of file fragmentation. You might (might not) want to consider this the default for XFS volumes.
